♛ ~ “That’s right.” Dei crossed her arms as she glared at the scientist, her red visor gleaming. “For such a price, I’m not going to do jack shit for you. My services are worth a bit more than that.” This woman underestimated the dangers of the field, cooped up in her fancy indoor garden. Reached a clawed hand, the omnic plucked a leaf from one of the plants and flicked it towards the floor. “Good luck finding anyone mental enough to risk their life for such a measly buck.”
Of course that omnic would take herself far more important than she actually way. Joe didn’t expect any less. Still, she was in need of competent help as all other agents rendered themselves useless to her. Was it really that difficult to fulfill a simple task? The scientist frowned. Then, upon seeing her reaching out for one of her plants, she squinted and observed her with displeasure. Her left eye twitched a little.
Joe crossed her arms. “Lucky for you that you’re nothing more than a machine. Otherwise that little leaf you plucked mindlessly would’ve killed you within minutes.” She hissed in open hostility. That was a mere exaggeration, but still. A complete fool without any knowledge would kill themselves fairly quick in her greenhouse. “If you value your existence, do not do it again.” She added to her previous statement in a huff.
“And apparently your only issue with my request is the payment. Name your price then.”
