` reflection ▸ jinwook & ella
jinwookgu
dance has become such a big part of her everyday life that sometimes even without running through at least one dance routine made her body uncomfortable. in a similar sense, it was almost like going a day without eating or drinking for normal people. but ironically, ella could go days without doing either yet -- definitely not a healthy routine -- so it would’ve been more like going a day without without blinking.
spending summer in korea was still a fairly new concept to the girl. summer vacations always turned into winter vacations since the two hemispheres never matched when she went back to visit. but due to her twin wanting to stay for the summer, ella followed -- as little as she wanted to admit it, the thought of being away from her twin and sharing the space between four barren walls with nobody did not seem ideal.
one great advantage of being at the university was that there was numerous more equipment for ella to use to practice. the lawn was desolate enough for her to practice outside if she wanted and the practice rooms were almost open. practice rooms were, of course, ideal since it was private and furnished with mirrors and speakers.
and so she found herself walking through the hallway looking for an empty room. until the rapid movements she caught through the window stopped her in her trance. her lips twitched upward.
it was jinwook.
even with only his back facing her, the young girl knew exactly who was it was. she had seen enough of his practices and performances to be able to differentiate his style; in a way, he was almost like a reflection of her. she watched in awe as the other continued to finish his number. great posture here, perfect transition there, it all just flowed.
and in no time the song had finished and her hands found their way to turning the knob open to slightly open the door enough for her to step inside. she hoped he wouldn’t mind her intrusion -- although secretly knowing he wouldn’t.
“that was real nice.”
