Far too long. It'd been far too long since Placide had taken the chance to look at his wounds and compare them. Far too long since he had any idea as to what he was at heart. His memories were stripped from him, long ago. He didn't even know how old he really was, having only judged from the size he managed to take on, and the fact that he only slightly recognized Dai. Recently, the snake realized that Bellus may hold the key to uncovering what he was, who he had been, and why he was murdered. Why he was taken out of the picture, only to be brought back into it miraculously. If there was anything the sword knew, even if it was only a little, that would be enough to ease his heart a little. Little did the serpent know, that wouldn't be the case. Instead, he marched up the stairs and into Rhea's room. Though he had meant to let the girl rest from all the crap she had been put through thanks to him and the other's, Placide /knew/ that if he didn't seize the opportunity now, he wouldn't ever get another chance like this again. He /had to know/. If anything, he wanted to know why he deserved it. Had he been villainous? Had he been wrong? Or had he just been the subject of being in the wrong place at the wrong time, involved with the wrong sort. Despite how nervous he was, there was no amount of hesitation registered in his voice as he spoke, calling for Rhea's attention, " Rhea. I need to know where Bellus is. I need to know what he knows about my decapitation. I /have/ to know...he knows something. I know he does. Please, tell me where he is, " Placide demanded, gaze almost faltering slightly as the possibilities continued to multiply, as he slowly came to realize that it might have been the sword himself that had killed him.
