The twins share
The twins have one soul split into two. They share their fate with each other, like one person in two forms.
The wedding of Pepa and Felex was, to put it mildly, not thank God. Bruno predicted a thunderstorm in the previously clear sky. That's why Pepa and her brother had a big fight. And yet, not the best start did not interfere with the happiness of the newlyweds. And very soon they had their baby Dolores, their firstborn. And six years later, our twins are Carlos and Camilo.
The soul of every person has light and darkness unevenly distributed within it. Some people are naturally bright and kind, while others are as dark as a black night. The undivided soul of our mischievous children would have been more dark, but it would also have had enough light. Unfortunately, it split in two, almost separating light and darkness.
Carlos and Camilo were inseparable all the time. They played and joked for days on end until it was time for them to receive their gifts. Everyone was looking forward to this day. They believed that if the Madrigal triplets received different gifts, then the boys would also receive their own. However, fate had other plans. Carlos and Camilo received the same gift and shared a room.
According to tradition, after receiving a gift, a child from the Madrigal family begins to help the residents as much as they can. Camilo quickly found his calling in this, but Carlos began to avoid work. This caused a slight distance between the two boys. As the years passed, the boys turned 13. They have a younger brother. They also share the same mark, indicating that they are a couple. When they were born, everyone was amazed. It was a scandal. The twins were taken to a healer in a nearby town. She calmed them down a bit, and said that the boys had a common destiny and a wife.
It was two more years before they met you. You came to stay for an indefinite period of time with your great-aunt, whom you rarely saw. The first person you met was Camilo, who was leaving the house of a neighbor, a young couple with children. He greeted your grandmother with joy. As he approached, he noticed you. This was how you met.
You met Carlos at Antonio's gift party. You noticed him standing on the second-floor balcony, watching his brother climb up to his grandmother. You thought it was Camilo. Later, you saw him again in Antonio's room. Carlos was with Camilo when you approached them. Only then did you notice that Camilo was wearing a yellow poncho. Carlos seemed more rough. You were not mistaken.
The rest of the evening was very fun. A little boy with kind eyes walked down the path to the door with his cousin, who still hadn't received her gift. It was very touching. And his room was truly amazing! So were the animals that circled around the boy! You met the members of the Madrigal family.
So, you and your twins didn't recognize each other right away. You three wear enough clothes to hide your markings regularly. So, it took some time for someone to notice your mark. But it happened, didn't it? Your newfound friend noticed it. You were staying with her for the night, and the locals had a habit of entering without knocking. So, she caught you two changing into your nightclothes.
So what? She didn't see the "Madrigal" inscription, did she? She spread the news throughout the village. You have good friends. Camilo and Carlos started visiting your grandmother's house more often. A week later, Pepa came to talk to you about the mark. She needed to see it. You agreed, even though it was awkward. Oh, the joy on her face when she saw the same mark on her boys' shoulders.
Grandmother and Peppa agree that the twins will come to propose marriage after they receive a letter from your parents. They have written that they will not be coming and believe that you will find happiness in this marriage. Well, this is not surprising, as you have always had a strained relationship with your parents. To put it mildly, they did not particularly need you.
A couple of days later, you see your fiancés walking towards you with their parents and grandmother. The matchmaking goes smoothly. Camilo's expression reveals his excitement. Carlos tries to be confident, but he seems a bit distant. Camilo asks you to dance, and Carlos plays guitar to accompany you. The families reach an agreement. The wedding will take place in early autumn.

GUYS HIS LIL AWKWARD SMILE AND FINGER TAP SKDJEJUDUSKAEFHWHFD I CAN’T.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ “I like this one.” Camilo said, gently picking the delicate flower from the soft grass. It was around that time of year where the hill Casita was perched on—well more a noticeable incline rather than a hill—became dotted with an array of colorful flowers among the tall grasses.
You looked up and rolled your eyes, smiling and looking back down at your book. “You’re only saying that because it’s the color of my eyes. You’ve already used that line on me, you sappy romantic.” You said. He had picked a similar color flower just a few days ago and held it up to your face, saying ‘Mi amor, would you look at that. This beautiful flower matches your even more beautiful eyes.’ The suck up. Oh how you loved him.
“Okay, but the color is still pretty, and so are your eyes.” He said, walking over and tucking it behind your ear. He smiled as he looked at the petals complimenting your eyes, before pressing a kiss to your cheek. “Muy Bonita.” He said as you giggled.
“Alright, alright! You’re so cheesy, how many telenovelas have you been watching? I need to tell your uncle to restrict your access to his rat’s shows.” You said as you took the flower out of your hair. Holding it up, you searched for it in your book—a book on flowers and plants. Once you found the page, you gently placed it between the page, planning to make a pressed flower out of it.
Camilo let out a fake gasp, opening his mouth to protest when he felt something brush against his leg. Jumping up with a small shout, he scrambled behind you. “Spider! Giant spider, ugh, it’s so hairy! It must be a tarantula, they’re very hairy and very attracted to me!” He said, loudly and frantically, eyes shut tight. Again he was over exaggerating; sure, he had found two tarantulas in his room, at two separate times—with a year in between those two encounters.
You looked over to where this supposed, all terrifying murderous tarantula was and found…a kitten. A tiny little Selkirk Rex kitten with curly dark brown fur and green eyes (this cat but with green eyes). It looked up at you, letting out a soft new before sitting down. Instantly, you let out a high pitched ‘awww’ before scooping it up, not a single care about fleas or rabies—which by its dirty, muddy coat, made it obvious those were entirely possible for this cat to have.
Camilo raised an eyebrow as you started cooing and petting the cat, scratching behind its ears, under its chin, everything. “Uh…maybe don’t pet the clearly stray cat?” He asked as you gave it little kisses. For a cat, which was so often stereotyped correctly as grumpy, the kitten let you give it all the affection you could, purring loudly.
“Why? Jealous?” You asked, not bothering to look at him as the stray stretched out on its back, earning what tummy scratches from you.
“Wh—psh. No.” He said, crossing his arms and looking away with an overdramatic pout, “I just don’t want my significant other to get bitten and then start foaming at the mouth some time later.”
You looked at him before sighing and getting up. Kitten in arms, you needed his words and headed inside. With Antonio’s help—confirming the cat was stray and possibly flea-infected, Julieta’s—fixing small wounds covering the cat’s skin, and, of course, the village vet’s, you got the cat cleared from all concerns.
So now, as the sun was setting, you and Camilo were giving the kitten a surprisingly un-chaotic bath. He—Antonio had confirmed that the kitten was indeed, male—squirmed around, batting at the bubbles with his tiny paws. You giggled as your boyfriend lifted the kitten up, to which the Selkirk Rex batted his soapy tail against Camilo’s nose, leaving it covered in bubbles.
“He kinda looks like you.” You said with a smile, rubbing the wet fur on the head of the kitten with your thumb. “Curly brown fur, same color as your hair, bright green eyes, and the most adorable face ever.” You said, scrunching your nose up at the Madrigal. “All he’s missing is your freckles and iconic ruana.” You said, to which you received a splash.
With a laugh, a small water fight started between the two of you. The kitten wanted to participate, so with an excited and loud meow, he also bat at the surface of the water with both front paws, creating tiny splashes. More laughs were heard as the tiny creature plunged into the water, coming back up with a pile of bubbles on its snout.
Finally though, you got the little guy all cleaned up and tired. Actually, you two were tired too. About twenty minutes later, Dolores came into her brother’s room to tell him dinner was ready, and found you two. You were both asleep, facing each other on his bed. And between your chests, was the tiny little kitten you two had both taken as your own. Dolores smiled as she left the room, rolling her eyes. It was like you two had a baby.
࿔ Encanto - Luisa Madrigal
࿔ Romantic - fluff, innocent love, pre-relasionship, mutual pinning
Luisa's crush is something, it can be a bit obvious if you put close attention, after all she gets nervous and starts fidgeting when talking to you, trying really hard to don't start rambling or overthinking, but, can you blame her? You are not only really beautiful outside but also inside! You are always considerate towards her, asking about her day even when her days are always doing errands around the village, you always ask how is she doing and if she needs help like if she didn't had superhuman strenght
God, you make her feel like a fragile and tiny flower moving smoothly with the wind, and she has found so much comfort on that, in the way you see her not as the helpful woman who can carry everything, who has the strength to splitting the floor in two nor just as part of the Madrigal family, in your eyes she is just Luisa, as beautiful as ever
That is also why, when you started to decline her help whenever she was around and saw you struggling with things she internally paniced, even if she tried not to Luisa was unable to don't start feeling like you were putting some distance between you two, perhaps this spark between you two was something she had just imagined. Even if she didn't wanted she started overthinking, overdoing herself in an attempt to find comfort on still being "useful" and, at the end, she seaked for help to her sisters when she felt like breaking into tears out of anxiety
Still, nothing could have ever prepared her for what she was about to hear the moment Luisa finally gathered the strenght to confront you, or rather, ask if you were alright and if you weren't, you know, mad at her. She always knew you not only hold her in great steem but also you have never taken her for granted, still hearing that you have been meaning to grow stronger, both physicaly and mentally, that you wanted to be reliable and stronge too so you could make sure that you would be there for her when she needs it, you want to make sure you will be stronge enough when she feels like she can't hold herself anymore so you can hold her instead, that is something she never expected to hear and yet it has made her feel all flustered, it made her feel like crying because of complete diferent reasons than her previous anxiety
