You know what? I'm rejecting the headcanon that Tonks can't cook. Give me a Tonks who CAN cook and it's chaotic as hell.
She never follows a recipe exactly. She wings everything. Any recipe she ever uses or writes down always has little notes scribbled on the side. She's clumsy. She has to refill the water in the measuring cup 3 times because she spills it. The bowl she pulled out to put the butter in? Broken - slipped from her hands. The dishes? Piled to ceiling. The dry pasta? All over the floor because she ripped the package open wrong. The cooked pasta? She has to call her husband in to drain the water into the sink because she knows there's a good chance she'll spill the boiling hot water. The milk? Possibly bad because she forgot to put it back in the fridge after measuring out how much she needed. The flour? All over the floor. The spice cabinet? Good luck finding what you need in that mess. The required kitchen utensil? Nowhere to be found - improvise. Remus? Playing with Teddy in the living room because watching her cook and tear apart their kitchen stresses him out and he has enough gray hair as it is. The toaster? Possibly on fire (she wasn't even using the toaster). The kitchen? An absolute unrecognizable DISASTER. But the food? The dish she just made for her family? The dinner she's just prepared for her husband and son? PHENOMENAL. Absolutely amazing. Cooked to perfection. No notes. Absolute 10 out of 10.
Nymphadora Tonks was always falling. There were men in her life who offered her a hand to help her up — but she married the one who caught her before she hit the ground.
The fact that Remus would likely barely have been in the 6th and 7th books if it wasn't for Tonks (because his presence would largely be irrelevant to the plot, the thing that drives whether you will see a character on a page), yet so many so-called Remus fans hate Tonks will never stop to amuse me.
Is there a remadora server I can join? 👀 if not I am thinking of making one would you all like to join?
am I the only one who firmly believes that Remus never got his first kiss until he met Tonks and he fell in love with her?
I know in the Remadora fandom we’ve all basically agreed Remus and Tonks definitely didn’t die and they were in fact SLEEPING—and that they had at least one more kid after Teddy, and we all agree it’s a girl named Hope (besides the occasional fic).
But her middle name is where we struggle in agreement. Which of course isn’t bad, she’s not a canon character obviously so name her however you want, make her personality whatever you want it to be. But for the most part, I usually see the same ideas for names. Minerva, Andromeda, Molly. I see those the most.
But what about Aladora? This may or may not be a name I just created today when I should’ve been doing work, so I very well might be the only person who likes it😅
But it’s a name that combines “Alastor” and “Dora”. Moody meant a lot to Tonks. He was her mentor, and I’ve always interpreted them as being quite close, maybe him even being like a second dad to her. So I could see her wanting to name a child after him, or at least it being a thought. But then it’s a girl, so “Alastor” wouldn’t really work. I could also see Remus hitching the idea of giving the baby girl the middle name “Dora” since Teddy’s full name is “Edward Remus”.
So, yeah🙈 Hope Aladora Lupin: how do we feel about that? Does it sound silly, I honestly can’t decide🙃
