Ask game: aesthetic edition >:D for our beloved Ivy.
1 - what color do you associate with them?
White and silver primary, secondary colours dark green, light blue (think Oliver’s eyes), black, and gold
2 - what animal do you associate with them?
this was did stump me, I can’t lie. My immediate instinct was a dove because of the colouring, but that doesn’t feel right. I could see a butterfly – growth and rebirth, transformation and the ability to transform.
But, that’s not my final answer either. That has to be the fox. Cunning, resilient, intelligent. Not the strongest or the most imposing animal, but not one to underestimate either. And more importantly, Ivy’s favourite book is The Little Prince. The fox in The Little Prince exists to teach the little prince about the importance of human connection and interpersonal relationships – the core of who Ivy is, and what Faith Forgotten Land is about.
“And now here is my secret, a very simple secret: It is only with the heart that one can see rightly; what is essential is invisible to the eye.”
3 - what element do you associate with them?
Water. Always moving on and never going back, to quote pocahontas “You can’t step in the same river twice / The water’s always changing, always flowing”, that matches very well with Ivy, someone who may be haunted and affected by her past, but will not stand still and will always find a way to keep going, no matter what obstacles are in her way
As a personality, water types are intelligent, frank, quick-witted, intuitive, sensitive, emotional, nurturing, compassionate, and empathetic, also very much traits that I associate with her
4 - what flower/plant do you associate with them?
is ivy too obvious of an answer? But truly, ivy is considered a symbol of everlasting life, devotion, fidelity and loyalty, and the associated aesthetics, something beautiful growing out of ruins, often associated with academia and historical buildings, and considered a guardian when it grows outside — tell me that isn’t Ivy Knight.
That being said, also white roses
5 - what part of their appearance do you associate with them the most?
Her smile. Effortlessly charming at all times, carefully rehearsed and able to summon it no matter the situation and seem genuine, but when it is true it completely lights up a room and is impossible to mistake for anything fake
6 - what hobby do you associate with them?
Her love of figure skating, of course
7 - what school subject do you associate with them?
French class, literature, and history (particularly ancient history). There are plenty of subjects that are more relevant to her, but these were her passions and the subjects she continued to take simply for the joy of learning rather than out of any necessity
8 - what would they answer to one or all of these about themselves?
I think that Ivy would associate herself more with air than water. The element of thinkers, communicators, and doers, and personality traits include being analytical, communicative, clever, intellectual, curious, alert, perceptive, smart, calm, objective
Honestly, all traits that I would also consider resonating strongly with Ivy. If it weren’t for water’s association to moving forward/never going backwards, I would be exceptionally torn between the two
I also think that appearance wise she would associate herself more with her wardrobe and her hair, she doesn't see how special her smile is
