For now if you wanna talk please send me an ask and I'll give you my d*scord.

âGuess so.â Dexter grinned, it was definitely not what he had been thinking but now she mentioned it, he didnât think itâd be a bad idea. âThe thing is, Iâm always right so youâre on time draw out.â He gave Daisy a pointed, curious look, although she seemed to be the kind of person who didnât back down so he was almost sure about her answer as they sat on an empty table. âOkay, well, Iâll have that in mind when another defense lawyer comes to my office next time.â He teased âWhatever you chose, itâs gonna be great.â Dex said pointing at the menu. âBut if I were you Iâd go with the grilled mozzarella sandwich.â When Daisy made the comment about her brothers he had to laugh because it sounded like something his own sisters would say. âSpeaking like a true⌠little sister?â He tried to guess. âA ballerina, uh? Youâ look too fierce to be a ballerina but what do I know.â He shrugged and paused the conversation as the waitress returned, placing an order of tacos and then resuming their chat when they were alone again. âYou come from a big family then?â
...
âWell now see Iâm also always right, itâs a lawyer thing I think. So we may have to see how this goes,â Daisy teased back, leaning into her seat. âYeah you should probably put that on a poster for above your desk. Something to make sure you remember it every time one of us walks into your office.â And knowing his job, that probably happened a lot. Probably people like her whoâs boss had sent them down because they were too good to do it themselves. âNow see theyâre serving it with a side of tomato soup which is pretty much my weakness. Nothing better than grilled cheese with tomato soup.â She smiled, pouring them both a glass of water from the pitcher on the table. âI try my best. Someone has to make sure none of them get big heads.â Daisy looked up at the waitress, placing her own order before turning back to their discussion. âYou could say that. Five brothers and three sisters. What about you?â

Charlie was exhausted as he parked the car in the garage, not only had work been difficult but the drive drop the studio to the home he and his wife owned was too long for his like. It was all worth it though and just a small sacrifice to have the best of both worlds, a family with the woman he loved and a job in a turbulent industry as cinema was. And when he saw Isabelle coming at him with that glow of her face, Charlie felt as if he was hooked on a charger; he listened in a sort of daze and with an amused half smile, chuckling when Isabelle reized he was just partially mentally there. âSorry. I spent the whole day on the move and Iâm hurting everywhere.â He closed the distance between them to press a kiss on her forehead. âHow are you and the kids? Was it a good day?â He asked, dropping his bag on the floor. Knowing the kids were asleep, the actor didnât go upstairs to disturb them. âNow, why donât you tell me more about that scrip over some food? Who wrote it?â
âŚ.
She knew that exhaustion, Belle had seen it on her own face. Though now it felt like it just never ended, they didnât get to turn off everything anymore. But honestly she wouldnât have traded any of it for the world. âYou look exhausted, Babe.â Smiling, Belle reached up to kiss his lips softly when he was close enough, wrapping her husband into a soft hug. âLetâs just say I never realised how much I loved you for staying home with the first one until doing it myself.â A soft sigh left her mouth before she pulled back, âSit down, Iâll heat you something up. Donât worry, my dad made it and brought it over. I did not cook.â They both knew that she was awful in the kitchen but at least Belle tried sometimes. âItâs a newer up and coming writer.â She spoke over her shoulder from the fridge, gesturing to the papers on the counter, âI donât know how to explain it but it just feels like something we need to be in on.â Â

As she glanced at her friend, how happy she looked by only watching at pictures of her man, Molly did her best to ignore how much it stung to have missed this happy moment of Daisy. When Freddie and her split, she stupidly thought it was best to separate from his family, too, and that included Daisy and because of that, she was finding out her best friend was in love. âNot a bad idea. Youâre my first client.â Molly joked, the smile tipping down as the other went back to her relationship. âD., you need to let it go. This is not a case youâll win.â Her words were soft, as it rarely was. âJust try to be the supporting friend and accept things as they are.,â
...
Daisy had never been in this kind of position before. In fact sheâd been the person that picked on people for always gushing about their partners but now she understood what it was like. She just wanted to show Dex off as much as she could. âYeah so I get the family discount and itâs free, right?â Daisy teased back, taking another sip of the drink in front of her and leaning forward. âBut Iâll hella fucking stubborn so you know Iâm going to keep trying. I want to be there for both of you guys but I have no idea how because neither of you will talk to me.â

âI like the food.â Patrick snickered. Maybe he liked some of the staff too but that was not here nor there, he wasnât looking for anything serious, settling down or a white picket fence dream so whatever happened with any woman, didnât go longer than a night or two. Again, the only constant in his life was his friend. As the hostess led them to a far, discreet table, giving Willa side-eyes, she left the two of them alone and Pick moved the chair for her. âHow youâre feeling?â He asked as he sat in front of her, deciding not to say anything too revealing until they had everything in the table so no waiting staff would over listened something private.Â
...
âI mean that is the usual reason someone come to a restaurant over and over.â Willa tried to get it to come off as teasing but it may not have come out that way. She saw the way people looked at her friend and the woman wasnât blind to how attractive he was. They just couldnât risk losing themselves and the friendship theyâd created. They were off to the side and it was clear that no one would hear things but she needed to be careful, the last thing Willa wanted was to be someoneâs entertainment. âIâm fine. What about you?â It wasnât entirely true but at least she was trying.

Attacks to companies happened all the time, his, too, had taken a few hits over the years, especially in the beginning. However, this felt too aggressive, too personal and it was a clear message. One Archer intended to return; sure, it was not his business but no one messed with his fiancee without him getting involved. When Vivian asked him to stop, it took Arched a few seconds before finally doing it, turning to look at her and sighing. âFine.â He accepted grudgingly and moving closer to her, cupping her cheeks. âI was just thinking we could get home before morning to get stared on an investigation about the company.â The venue was a secondary preoccupation and easier and faster to solve. âIâll do as you want.â He added then. The only person to whom the man had uttered said words. âWhat do you know? Who the knew and didnât give notice?â
...
This really couldnât be happening. At least that was what she was telling herself and yet there was a part of her that wasnât surprised. People came after her success all the time but this time-- this felt more over the top. There was no way that Vivian would have gotten Archer involved if she didnât feel like this. âI can make some calls and get my investigators on it early. I should have done that already.â But she had been so mad. So so mad. âBut we do need to go home, youâre right about that.â Needed to show that she wasnât shaken and that they were a united front, no matter what someone tried to throw at them. âKevin called. He claims he didnât know it went down until this morning and he called me straight away but I donât know if I believe that.â Vivian didnât know who she could trust.
