Do you ever extend your blog's gimmick to real life (i.e. go around pointing out things to people and telling them that it's Joyful and Whimsical)?

Honestly not really? I’m pretty quick to react to joyful and whimsical things with enthusiasm but I never go “look at how joyful and whimsical this is”. I should probably do that though, could be a hit with the friend group!

when is this taking place in the MCGA timeline? and by that i mean is alex there yet or will she/he be their before or after jason gets there?

we are currently in the first few chapters of HoT, where Alex is introduced! Jason is quite possibly going through his breakup with Piper right now as ToA/TBM happens at the same time as HoT, so after a bunch of initial adjustments and adventures, he will make his sacrifice and join them later on.

Magnus/TJ/Halfborn/Mallory all met Alex during group combat that Leo was not a part of (dragons), but Leo has met Magnus and Halfborn - and Leo/Magnus have talked about Alex! They're all just trying to figure each other out.

edit: also the ToA timeline is alluded to in this post which is kind of an easter egg but cool to have worked in there. we'll get some insight on that side of the timeline via Jason soon (when I've actually fleshed it out)

What was the most rewarding part of creating a zine?

The whole experience has been so rewarding for everyone involved. That's mainly I believe due to the overwhelming support we've gotten - from the whole fandom and everyone who interacted with us on social media, but also from each other in our discord where the contributors were super supportive of each other's works. It was so beautiful to see the whole thing grow, from the concepts outlined in the application forms back in September (we asked applicants to pitch their ideas what to contribute, so that we could coordinate what kind of content we would have in the zine) to the amazing works of art and writing you see today, and to witness (and encourage!) the love and passion and talent and creativity that exists in this fandom.

Seeing it all come together. Reading the zine and looking at every image, every bit of love poured into it. When the zine went online, several of us went on voice chat and celebrated together. Every time someone on discord gives feedback on someone's piece, it's the most wonderful thing. This fandom really feels like a family, but we never could have imagined just how large it is. To see those download numbers rise and the comments and loving comments pour in, that really does it for me.

Thank you sm! We appreciate the love <3. Mod Steve and I met on my first day at a new school. Not to be fanfic-y but it was like destiny or some shit. probably. Anyways little junior Mod Bucky was scared absolutely shitless. I’d previously went to a school with abt 300 kids (wow, thats our follower count!) and  suddenly i was in a school with 3000 kids. It was terrifying. But I decided to Be Brave and approach some purple haired weirdo in the hall (*enter mod steve*). I said “i like your hair” and he replied with “i like your shirt” (it was an mcr shirt, we’re both recovering emos okay.) and thats,, when we met. We werent super good friends right from the start, but we had a class together (digital design man, twas a good time) and we sorta hit it off throughout the first semester of our jr year. we’re seniors now, and the bestest of friends. i wouldn’t trade anyone in the world for mod steve. -mod bucky

Were any of the admins ex tucutes or had a mogai phase? If so what was the cringiest stuff you used to say or think

Oof yeah I was a tucute and I as agender and pansexual… It wasn’t too bad fortunately, and I was never hostile towards anyone, I was just kinda quietly in the back like “w-well, everyone’s valid…!” And I also forced a lot of ~diversity~ onto my ocs. My opinions never really lined up with that, it’s just the people around me made it hard for me to even think of anything else.
