Perking up first with the alert from his phone, the blonde soon blinks a moment at the message that greeted him-- Just what did his brother mean by that? He hadn't sent him anything… Had he? That question was answered soon enough upon actually opening his messages, and seeing the picture directly before Itsuki's question.

Well that was fucking embarrassing… But at least he hadn't screwed up any worse by texting in the midst of trying to do work, and also get ready for plans later. Wiping away the embarrassment with a sigh, he soon replied back.

"I have editing work to do… Ya know that, right?" Looking down at the large feline curled up both within his lap, and up across his chest, Minato asked a rather rhetorical question. The blonde knew he wouldn’t get an answer, of course— but still, he couldn’t help wanting to ‘question’ the cat regardless.

One of the rare visits he’s made to Shizuma’s place, and after making the mistake of relaxing on the couch before trying to get work done, he’s now stuck beneath one serval out of the pair that’s usually causing some sort of trouble… Sighing as golden hues shut for the moment, it seems the blonde was set to accept his fate for the time being— bringing an arm up to pet the feline’s head and rub behind their ear.

Minato was fairly content with feeling his boyfriend’s hand against his cheek, turning his face slightly further into Shizuma’s touch… And were he a cat, then the blonde may very well have been tempted to purr a little.

However, it wasn’t long before the blonde found himself smacked with a dose of surprise— With the redhead now squishing his cheeks. “Mhn??—“ Brows furrowing, gold hues then squinted at the other, with just a hint of pink ghosting over Minato’s cheeks.

“What the hell’s this for, Shizuma-kun?!—“ Though he didn’t really raise his voice with that question, and in fact more so had to murmur it thanks to the other’s hold on his face, that didn’t stop the blonde from getting just a tiny bit snappy.

"They didn't have to go and be an asshole either, just because they got the wrong idea and couldn't take getting told off." The blonde huffed a bit with that, still a little miffed over the situation.

After sighing a bit to let off the lingering tension, Minato then gave a small hum at his boyfriend's thanks. "Yeah, I know. But since I couldn't really help out earlier, might as well do something to make up for it now." Giving a small laugh of his own with this, slender fingers continued with lathering suds through bright locks, careful not to let any stray where they didn't need to be.

"Oh yeah? Think I'd have to agree though… It is pretty nice." Another soft hum followed his reply, with Minato unable to resist a smile at hearing that Shizuma welcomed his help. Fingers once again slid through his boyfriend's hair as the blonde worked to rinse out the foam.

Before going after the conditioner, however… Minato couldn't resist being a little sneaky-- Leaning over to steal a quick kiss whilst Shizuma had his eyes closed.

"Do ya think we should get anything special for Baa-san today? Or maybe see if we can get her away from work long enough to go out and do something together?..." His mood still felt a bit off from earlier in the day, as might've been obvious if his brother paid close enough attention... But, knowing Itsuki, he'd likely know better than to comment on it. Given the reason behind it was likely just as obvious... And besides, being here with his brother for the past couple hours had helped in regard anyway.

Minato (mostly) held back a soft snort of laughter with his brother's comment, hiding the slight noise behind his hand before he spoke. "Well I coulda guessed that much from how long you've been looking at the menu." With that reply, he gave in to the amusement and chuckled just a little.

"But it's fine, not like we're in any kind of hurry today anyways." A quiet hum rolled through him then, reaching for another sip from his drink, and a bite from the appetizer that they had at least settled on ordering earlier.
