sir another random titus post has hit the dashboard

this time just rambling about flirting, sexuality, and how it fits in with his world and roles ! in honor of pride month

his series is a josei and nearly all the characters are attractive men, so. well. you do the math there--

that being said, there's a lot of implied queer relationships and shenanigans going on, but while most of the characters are just very heavily implied to be queer in some way, Titus explicitly talks about it sometimes. not as much in the main series, but in the novels and side comics.

in the main series we get a lot of Ti flirting with August (albeit while he thinks August is a girl LOL):

but! turns out, he doesn't give a shit about that, and keeps flirting well into the future. see his very blunt reasoning in this comic:

Titus just likes cute people, plain and simple. But he really doesn't have a "type." In his first official character profile, it's stated that he doesn't have a type; when he starts to like someone, that person becomes his type. cute.

He's also very plainly said that he likes men before, said partially in jest about being brought to a bar with no women so that he wouldn't flirt with them, but he was being honest LOL

There's also...whatever the hell is happening here-- (messiah was spying on Titus' hideout near the holidays and. well. the man likes mistletoe and company). based on the dialogue there's people of all genders here.

would also like to briefly say that Titus does not give a single fuck about gender and expressing it. he doesn't care about how August dresses and operates, and Titus himself has been shown to be comfy dressed femininely when others are uncomfortable.

anyway.

while Titus isn't in anyway ashamed of being bi, it's also...not something he's used to showing out in public? like as gay as the main cast is, it's clear that their society is still very heteronormative, which gives Titus pause sometimes. because of that, he didn't grow up being able to outwardly show affection to the same gender, so he often gets flustered when flirting with other men. he's a flirt in general, but the second a guy flirts back, he melts into a blush-y mess. doesn't really last long, but there's always a part of him that's like "oh shit, what do i do--"

but that also kind of ties in to him being awkward about romance in general. in canon he's never had an official partner, never dated anyone or had a real relationship. he flirts, he sleeps around, visits brothels...but romance? it's foreign to him. a wonderful concept, but it just never fit in with his lifestyle

that isn't to say he's incapable of relationships: he is! he's an extremely loyal person when it matters, it's just...not the first priority in his mind, he also just loves people and being close to them, so he's never seen a problem with how he operates, even if other people do.
