The mayor was exhausted after that speech. It was an eventful morning between getting slapped and then getting engaged his life was sure wild. The mayor was struggling to find someone to talk to. Everyone so far seemed to be a bit judgmental because well he was the mayor. Randy was surprised seeing someone sitting by themselves. Randy decided next to the blonde gentleman. There was a smile.

Serena had found the glory-filled gold mound of delicious bread that were baked to perfection. She cursed the fact she had no pockets, but decided to put as many as she could in her hands which equaled out to a meager five. Oliver was over in the corner, watching people and she knew why because they were both technically working. Walking over, having taken a bite from one of her bounty as she settled to stand next to him. 

“Wofna buhreaf rooolll?” mouth filled, holding up her hands in an offering of peace. Serena really didn’t know about the whole proper etiquette of being at a ball, but she loved the food that was there and didn’t want to waste a moment of it. Though, it caused her to still have that wolf-like, animalistic nature around her with her still curly, wild mane and lack of food manners.

After her last encounter in Java the Cup, Olive was hesitant to go back but then she realised if she spent her life hiding from everything she would never move forward, she would never get her life back and she had already lost nine years.. she wasn’t going to lose anymore time. Walking into the cafe with her head held as high as possible, Olive knew the fear in her eyes was betraying her, no matter how strong her stance seemed. Her stomach was in knots but she took a deep breath and managed to finally order her hot chocolate before making her way to a booth, sliding into it she ducked her head, taking the time to once again compose herself. “You’re fine Olive. It’s all fine. It’s not busy, no one here has even noticed you, you have marshmallows.. just breathe..” she whispered to herself, not even aware that someone was approaching..

There was absolutely nothing she wanted more than going home to take a long bath, and if it came with some red wine, then Felicity would consider herself the happiest person alive. Between meetings and long appointments, she didn’t exactly want to go back to her office. Oh, she loved her company. She had worked her butt off to get it where it was, it was her pride and joy, her child. But sometimes it was too much for just one person. And now that there were about to launch a new line, Felicity had no time to breathe.

The ringtone that disturbed her peace let her know her assistant was trying to contact her again, and that lunchtime was all over. Maybe after this, it would be time to take a week off, she would stay home wearing pajamas and watching trashy TV, ice cream included. Now, that sounded like her wildest fantasy. She reached for her to go latte and her bag, careful as to not forgetting anything like the last time. Sometimes her head was on the clouds, as if part of her existed somewhere else.

She grimaced at the taste of her latte, not enough sugar to keep herself up. Fingers struggled with the lid as she walked to the coffee station in the shop without paying any attention until her shoe collided with something hard and Felicity lost her balance. Her hand managed to stop herself from falling by finding a table, but the shock had her letting go of her cup, which was dropped on someone else -- and their laptop. "Frack! I am so sorry! I wasn't paying attention, and it was a terrible thing to do, but I wasn't expecting someone to leave their bag on the floor. Who does that? I could have died. But I didn’t. You laptop did. No! I can save it, I can. You don't know me and you have no reason to believe me, but I can! I'm so so sorry."

oliver smiled down at his partner, running his fingers through their hair while his other hand scrolled through his schedule for the week. he jumped slightly at the sound of the alarm but his smile only deepened. “my turn,” he teased, switching positions so his head was in their lap. “think this is my favorite part of the day.” @ssvperboy​
