She knew very well that she was being a little bit painful right now. This woman was only the assistant and that didn’t mean she knew everything that was going on in the office, or knew of what her and Ms. Underwood discussed. But Penelope just need to know where to file so that, when she tried on her own with Ms. Underwood, that she could at least make some progress.

But Ms. Underwood was not there in the office at this moment. So, Penelope had to speak with the assistant. “I understand that it’s complicated, but I just need help with figuring out where to file. It would be much easier if Ms. Underwood was here, but she isn’t and I just would think you’d know since you work here where to file certain documents.”

Foolish. It had been foolish for Dahlia to leave a newly made vampire in the hands of a witch. Bella had dismissed her once her job had been done and she had thought foolishly that the girl would be able to handle Regina. Dahlia of course could never have changed her with her own blood but she had been just as responsible for the girl. Suspicious eyes would start turning to all the known vampires in town and she had no doubt that she would be on that list. She should have taken Regina in hand herself. The messy incident that the girl had left in the middle of the street had been a disgrace. Where was her decorum? Where was her sense of discretion? Gone in a haze of bloodlust no doubt. 

She would come up with a plan though. She would demand a plan if she had to. She couldn’t have any loose ends after all. Nothing could be permitted that might lead to her downfall. She made her way up to the door of Bella’s place her hand moving to knock loudly. She hadn’t told Bella she was coming but if the witch had any sense she would expect a visit from her. “Bella! We need to have a conversation.” She called through the door loud enough for the witch to hear as she waited impatiently for her to answer. Perhaps she should have thought this through more after all Bella was a friend but she could also be a powerful enemy. She supposed it didn’t matter now though. She had already knocked.

Gunnarr had been mostly avoiding Bella ever since the...owl and kiss fiasco. He had a feeling she wouldn’t be too welcoming to him if they met once more, and if she was quite the opposite well...he didn’t want to try and have to extricate himself from her advances. He was so intent on avoiding her, that he’d somehow apparently run directly into her, much to his befuddlement. He was about to excuse himself when the sprig of green above them caught his eye, and he looked back down to Bella. “I don’t suppose you’re familiar with mistletoe?” He was wondering if even the mention of it would get him punched or something of the like.

Jax set his selected books that he’d fetched from the oldest part of the library with a thud on one of the many mahogany tables that filled the enormous and extravagant library of the Karavadra Estate. Meanwhile Nash was flitting throughout the shelves unable to be reached without a ladder, alerting Jax to tomes that might prove useful. For now though, he cracked open another dusty book. “Find anything of use?” he asked Bella in a pause between reading.

Narcissa didn’t bother to knock as she came to the home of her eldest sister. Letting herself in she let her voice ring out in an almost sing song tone. “Where is my beautiful sister? Come along Bella we’re going out. I’m bored and too hot to waste the night away at the manor. When is the last time you and I had a night with just the two of us?”
