Oh, this answer will probably be surprising. Of my AO3 fics that award goes to He’s Not a Harlequin; She’s Not His Columbine. These comments in particular remain unreplied to but are often circling around our mind. The energy you receive as a rarepair author in a larger fandom can be very rewarding if you manage to avoid antis. (It was also written for Iolite’s wife for her birthday, so the sentimental aspect of the fic definitely plays a role.)

That said, second place easily goes to our best work, Fetters of Love. Every comment has us telling our co-author/fiancee in excitement.

✏️ Do you write every day?

Yes, invariably. My head is always full of words, and I typically make 1-2 new WIPs a day. I also roleplay quite a bit when I'm not jotting down AU ideas, dialogue snippets, or writing prose straight.

#although to be totally transparent FOL and A Wife's Place (my two collaborative fics) are both rps turned into fics #I consider the way I write para rp to be the same hobby/skill as writing prose #but I differentiated them bc I do a lot of both and will turn to one if I'm not getting anywhere with the other #{ds;jade}#also not greedy haha ;) thank you for the asks

Welp, my family might "love" me in some abstract way but I feel like it's pretty meaningless love if they don't care about respecting me as a person, about listening to me, about really anything other than feeling good that I'm physically present around them. Like they might help me out sometimes. They might be willing to protect me if I'm in danger. And that's cool, I'll do the same for them. But that can't really be love, right? Or, rather, that can't really be special, right?

Someone once said there are two kinds of respect: respect for someone as a human being, and respect for someone an authority. I think there are also two kinds of love. The abstract "I love you"s of sociobiological obligation, and love that is a celebration and prioritization of another person. Or maybe I'm all wrong. Maybe I'm numb and don't know what love looks like. But when I'm not here, not stifled, I do feel warmer and more welcome and more open and I feel something different which I've reclaimed as love for myself

I’m still processing and dealing with the fact that my brain is deteriorating and I don't know how long this body will live for or how long we’ll still be recognizably outselves but I don’t want to talk about it because I'm afraid of being too negative or exaggerating so I'm just like :)

I feel the need to get all my art out and to enjoy all the stories I want to experience but I also want to be able to afford to live so I need a job...
