random idea: corbeau, but merman AU 🧜‍♂️

maybe he could take "loan shark" to the literal extreme lol. or what if he's like ursula who traps other merpeople in shady deals and just...makes them clean up the ocean or something nice and serviceable instead of stealing their voice 😂

Honestly, you had me at merman and then loanshark. I think mershark Corbeau should be real and he should bite anyone who doesn't agree to his deals 🦈

More of my silly merman au thoughts under the cut

- Corbeau is based on a leopard shark because the patterns suit him imo and they are moderately tiny sharks. Also idea was given to me by another artist <3

- Philippe could be a whale- or bull shark, I think the bull fits better considering Philippe does have this intimidating/dangerous aura and is Corbeau's guard dog. But whale shark would be sooo cute.

- Corbeau ropes merfolk into doing community work in the ocean, cleaning up corals, helping poor fishies that need help. Mainly ocean cleaning though.

- Corbeau worries a LOT about the current state of the ocean, what climate change and humans are doing to it.

- His "office" is based in an underwater cave system

- His grunts are all sharks as well
