Alastor Searches for Vox When Badly Injured

My boyfriend and I were rewatching some season 1 scenes yesterday and something came to our attention we never noticed before. Maybe we are just the last to realize, but it gets a whole different punch with what we saw about them in season 2, episode 4.

Alastor does not speak to Adam when he is close to dying. He speaks to Vox.

His eyes seem to search for something after he is on the ground.

What might that be? Well, a moment later it becomes pretty clear: He looks for the drone filming the battle. - As we are shown even, the scene switches to Vox and the other Vees, informing us that they are watching.

Alastor's left eye becomes big, just like Vox's eye does when he uses his hypnosis, as if to send him a message, "Radio is not dead," he tells him.

While Vox is busy denying that he wants anything but to see Alastor die, Alastor's thoughts in this very moment, in front of Adam, staff broken, badly injured, go to his rival and once closest person too, letting him know he will not die. As a threat, as a reminder, as a consolation? All three? Who knows.

But no one ever tell me the obsession isn't mutual (while of course coming in different flavors) every again. 😂

Do u guys ever think about how Rimmer aged for lister. Cuz like hedoesn't actually have to age . There's a few times where he just lives for years and years and doesn't age like he's in rimmerworld for 600 years and just stays the same. And yet in the later series he's older. He didn't have to. He did that so lister wouldn't feel old. He did it for him 🥺
