"I don't care what you think of me in particular, Shinon. Rather, I care about what you think of my species as a whole. Back in that last war... you went on and on about 'sub-humans' for the longest time. It's a relief to hear that you referred to us as 'laguz', honestly." It was a surprise to know Shinon had said it. Janaff still heard him using the term 'sub-humans', but perhaps the redhead would change that little by little. He did wonder if Shinon had realized he'd said it when he did, but he wouldn't ask. No point in doing something that Janaff was sure would work him up or aggravate him. "I don't know why you don't just call us that every time you talk about us, or why you didn't like our kind in the first place... but whether it was an accident that you said it not, it just means that part of you has accepted us. I'm grateful for it." After all, he remembered how nasty Shinon was about them when the two had first met. Perhaps beorc could grow up and mature faster than Janaff expected.
