Katarina sighed sleepily as she instinctively reached out for Lucien to wrap her arms around him and soak in his heat. But she only encountered the cool sheets of her bed, which only brought a disgruntled noise from her lips at the absence of expected warmth. Did Lucien wake up already? Odd, usually she was the one who woke up first between the two, although she found that she’d been getting a bit lazier with getting up in the morning due to the late nights that she had been having lately. A small smile and a flush of warmth rose to her face at the memories from the previous night that rose up, and Katarina stretched her arms with a small yawn as her eyes opened.
She blinked away the bleariness, noting that her vision seemed sharper somehow and there was this almost dull buzz beneath her skin...where was Lucien again? Sitting up, Katarina blinked and looked around, confusion stilling the woman as she simultaneously took in surroundings that weren’t hers and felt a shift of long hair against her shoulders that certainly wasn’t hers as well. Glancing down to see an unfamiliar set of pajamas where she was certain had not been there the night before, Katarina bolted up from the bed. What on earth...? Her ears picked up voices off somewhere, it sounded like she was in some sort of house, and she quickly made her way to a nearby mirror to stare into it in surprise.
Who-- who was this woman? Green eyes, eyes that gave her pause for an instant, shifted over the woman’s features again and again, but no, try as she might none of it was recognizable. Oh no, what was she to do? She was in an unfamiliar place, in an unfamiliar body, and apparently with people around. She knew trying to pass herself off as this woman to whoever was out there was not going to be possible but that still-- wait. If she woke up in this woman’s body, did that mean there was a chance that whoever this was was in her own as well? Lips pressed together in annoyance, she certainly hoped not because that meant if she did then she would be waking up next to Lucien and he didn’t sleep with clothes-- Right as that pulse of annoyance threatened to grow, the sound of buzzing reached her ears.
A phone? Green eyes shifted over the room, and upon seeing it, Katarina carefully wandered over. She didn’t know what to expect but it certainly wasn’t her own boyfriend’s number lighting the screen. Did that mean Lucien knew this woman? Was she some sort of past-- Katarina grit her teeth, only just then noticing the small pointed fangs inside her mouth, but she reached out to swipe across the screen and bring it up to her ear. “Hello? Lucien?”
