Popular in the late eighteenth and nineteenth centuries, lover’s eye miniatures were discreet tokens of affection, allowing the wearer to carry the presence of a beloved without revealing their identity.

By the mid-1800s, such objects could also function as sentimental or mourning jewelry, blurring the line between romance and remembrance.

Customer asked if I could include a belt buckel that belonged to his father, who'd recently passed.

He wanted to give this pouch to his sister for her birthday, and wanted to include the momento.
