omg the concept of mike getting one wish to be granted and the one wish he decides on is that will stayed over at his house the night that he was taken into the upside down so none of this bullshit happened - and he thinks that would save everything and solve all his brain's stupid problems but actually the world around him changes so much and now he has to navigate the fact that he feels like he isn't needed and has to deal with the guilt of wanting will to need him for something
lets hold hands ;)
I'd love to :)
why aren't you why aren't you holding my hand buddy :(
Johnny: I love Alicia.
Peter: You love me. You're not marrying me.
Johnny: Peter, I don't love you.
Peter: I know. I don't mean that as a threat.
Johnny: I'm actually a little relieved I'm leaving with her for the next few months, to be honest. I think we've seen enough of each other for a while.
Peter: What?
Johnny: You can be a leech - you know this - and it's boring. You can be quite boring.
Peter: The funny thing - I'm not pretending to be somebody else and you are. I'm absolutely honest with you. I've told you my feelings. But you, first of all I know there's something - that evening on the usual place, for instance, it was obvious -
Johnny: What evening?
FUCKKKK HE KNOW HE'S DAMN GOOD\\\\\\ i try write without translator......
HAPPY BIRTHDAY AUTUMN!!!! from me and your normalest intern <3
anna I think.... anna I think you killed me.... anna I think you won our game of attrition..... every time I try to form words about this I cover my mouth and make a little noise. THIS IS SO SWEET!!!! I am in complete and utter awe and thank you thank you thank you for this gift!!!
EVERYTHING about this is making my heart beat so so fast.... I feel like I'm falling in love.
her googling about interns, such a studious and curious mind of emilie's but with her own innate sense mingled in. the fact she's trying SO HARD. that feeling of being a child and learning your first failures and how is she feeling failure when, unbeknownst to her, she was built to be Emilie 😭 she, unknowingly, is programmed to be as cunning😭 what's that feel like 😭😭 I'M SICK!!!! I AM ON MY DEATHBED!!
she reads that other interns struggle with this, but why.... why does it feel so different!!! what, or who, is she waiting for!! she's trying so hard and---and for what, she asks herself...!!! the frustration!!!
emmy seeing this happy family and this happy ADRIEN with emilie KILLS ME!!! she thinks he's soooo precious. why does she understand the smile on emilie's face....?
thank you thank you THANK YOU UGH!!!! this was wholly unexpected!!!
a tag game?? started by @buffy-vanserra???? count me in (thank you for the tag <33333)
top five fictional men and women here we go woooooo also sorry there's no acotar on here you already know who the faves are there lmao
women
siobhan shiv roy: god i hate her. god i love her. god she's such a fucking awful person godddddddddddddddd. the way she treats everyone in her life as someone to gain from and yet she is very emotionally connected and yet willingly hurts the people she loves. goddddddddddddd. the way she treats tom, who loves her but is also a despicable person... goddddddddd. that argument they have on the balcony where she strips everything from him?? yeah. she's also really fucking funny, as are most of the characters in succession
rose tyler: she's a working class nineteen-year-old with no a levels who works in a shop that gets blown up and decides to go travelling with a weird alien with a northern accent. she does all of this in a hoodie, low-waisted jeans, and ten layers of mascara. she's funny, charismatic, caring, stupid at times, and overall brilliantly human even after everything she goes through. thank god they never brought her back after she got trapped in another dimension and finished her character arc in the most devastating way possible (shut up i know rtd is obsessed with her and cannot leave her arc the fuck alone just let me be delusional about it)
mon mothma (in andor): my god do i have a lot to say about mon (and andor in general). believes in good and unafraid to nuke her entire life to uphold it. works around all the people in her life and manipulates them to see her as a nuisance or conniving or ignorant or whoever best suits them. the wedding arc in season two where she is so desperate to protect her daughter from the same traditions that trapped her but that only pushes her further away?? and the realisation of this culminating in her getting drunk and becoming, just for this one moment, another one of the crowd, dancing with abandon?? fuck man. plus she gets one of the greatest speeches ever put on tv ("the death of truth is the ultimate victory of evil," and other such pertinent lines. honourable mention here too for maarva, since replying to "i'll be worried about you all the time" with "that's just love. nothing you can do about that" and her funeral speech will probably stay in my head forever actually)
june (from the handmaid's tale): she's sneaky and caring and hateful and loving and yeah yeah yeah. is she selfish? does she get people killed? does she have any loyalty at all? i loved her in the book and the show only enhances her and her depth. i will forever associate belinda carlisle and heaven is a place on earth with june going insane in a hospital room
carmella soprano: any character from the sopranos could have gone on this list (adriana honourable mention because god i could talk about her for days), but carmella takes the crown for me. she's wonderfully contradictory, a bad person and knows it but refuses to admit it, loves tony (or does she love the life he gives her?) and hates him, and her daughter can't stand her but loves her very dearly. a deeply emotional character
men
mr matthew michael murdock/daredevil: he's catholic, he's a pro bono/rich douchebag defense lawyer (depending), he's a poor kid who got in a horrible accident and he hates bullies and he knows he can't get everyone with the law so he decided to do something about it and punch people just like his dad. he's a loving and terrible friend who keeps secrets and wants to protect everyone and he always falls in love with people who are bad to him and who he is bad to. my first love may have been netflix's daredevil but frank miller's comic run with him is sublime
obi-wan kenobi: the poor man suffers over and over and over and everyone he loves dies in his arms over and over and over and still he chooses the good every time. sometimes flawed and brilliantly written, sometimes campy and fun, always a fave.
jaime lannister: sistermotherfucker is horrid, happy to kill children, and is generally the last person you'd ever want to be friends with (no spoilers, a feast for crows is still sitting on my bedside table). a true morally grey bastard first-born-son i love to love. and yk show jaime x brienne should have happened idk what anyone else says
the narrator/tyler durden: fight club is one of my favourite books of all time, and the main character is one of the most fascinating and well-written characters of all time. does this make me a red flag? i dont know or care but he's an excellent character who i hate/love very dearly
etienne lantier: he's the main character of germinal by emile zola which is one of the books in les rougon-macquart. the novel is a masterpiece and so is etienne. he's naive, idealistic, predisposed to addiction, quick to anger just like other men in his family tree who are detailed throughout zola's series. he's smart, but desperately flawed, someone to root for and someone to question, and he's written with compelling realism. (i love him and that book so much that i named one of eris' brothers after him, and i stole the last name lantier and used it for that of lucien's first lover)
i will have undoubtedly forgotten some people woooooo
tagging the lovelies: @harvest-bunny, @musty-old-claptrap, @olenvasynyt, @whimsycinnamon and anyone else who wants to yap about their faves (and you must tag me so i can read about them)
