So, Rory wasn’t being the best friend in the world. Not intentionally, of course. But she still had been negligent in her friendship with Alex because for as long as he had been dating Remus, she had only interacted with the man a few times. A part of it, she could admit to herself, was out of jealousy. Her friend was spending almost all of his free time with his boyfriend and while she was truly happy for him? Well, she really just missed him. But the rest of it was because she wasn’t entirely sure how to go about getting to know Remus. Logically she was sure she was overthinking it but the point remained.
Still, she knew that it was in the best interest of her friendship with Alex to get to know his soulmate. So with that in mind Rory made her way into the comic book store Remus owned and marched right up to the counter, leaning on it and smiling at the man behind the counter. “Hey.” Lame, yes? But it wasn’t like she had to introduce herself. She had met him before.
