《 im playing with the idea of Rika's voice - i know, work with me here. when she was younger and dealt with her ab*se, she would literally yell, scream, for help. she got the courage to speak up for help & no one believed her.

when she meets V, they start to open up with each other & he believes her. she doesn't have a voice, though. she's just loved and supported. inside of her was this trauma that develops into a voice. and when this voice starts to take form; it's these crazy ideas about salvation, about everything that she DIDN'T receive when she was younger. and when she develops this, she becomes FIERCELY protective of it. she's found a voice and when V, doesn't accept her, she freaks out - triggered of her childhood. :)!!! 》

The question is enough to make a once focused gaze to whip around, head turning so that she might look over her shoulder. From outside looking in, perhaps the boxes held in the heroine's arms might look a little too heavy for someone of her stature. For that observation, Serena cannot blame-- even if, in truth, it is nothing out of her comfort zone. But the one who asks, why they match a description given to her by other champions. She must be one of Paldea's Elite Four.

And so, what the blonde offers is a smile, warm and gentle.

"O-Oh, um... some help would be nice, yes,"

It would be nice to have some company, she thinks, for getting these boxes of documents into storage and properly filed away-- the remnants of yet another inter-league meeting. A quicker way to get the job done, no doubt, and to network just that tiny bit more with one Serena gets not an often chance to speak to one-on-one. A nod towards the box at the top of the stack ensues, corners of pale lips turning upwards.
