Allen couldn’t move, that was probably the worst thing about this. He could maneuver enough to eat or things like that, but to actually move was impossible. The weight of the seals on him were almost painful, or maybe that was his mind giving him pain to justify the resentment he felt for trying to help. But it was okay, right? He had done the right thing, and they were free from the Order, right? He had helped to set things right, even at the cost of his own freedom, the cost of maybe his entire existence. It was–
The thought was shattered when he saw who exactly walked in- not the familiar visage that was link, but Alma. “Wh-why?” he whimpered suddenly, eyes that seemed neither silver nor gold staring up at him, almost blankly. He struggled to move, though it was obvious that he was not getting anywhere. “Wh-why are you ba-back?’ he forced out, closing his eyes. Food- no, he was not eating, he didn’t trust it. Allen just slumped back down completely, defeated for the moment. “Wh-what? What is it…?’ he didn’t seem very hostile towards the male, but he didn’t feel the need to be. He had seen enough to know that he should not blame Alma for anything that had happened to him- he was a victim and Allen could not hold any hate for the other male.
| ❖ | Alma was familiar with that expression on the the other’s face. And he didn’t want to remember those feelings. Maybe it hadn’t been such a bad idea to send him here in Link’s place.
But there was this thing that, of course, confused the white-haired exorcist. “I know you are confused. I was too when I woke up. But know the Order keeps me as some kind of prisoner. Daily experiments included. But I think you’re still a worse case.” Alma put down the tray and placed the books on the floor. “They sent me because inspector Link is on a mission today. Please eat something. I can tell you everything else while you’re eating. And if you need something please let me know I’m in your debt.” A small pause until Alma bowed deeply. “I have to thank you for what you did for Yuu and me.”
To finally be able to show his thankfulness had been the reason why Alma agreed on volunteering to bring Allen the meal.
