“………My best friend told me he’s in love with me,” he answered plainly, golden eyes dull as he finally looked over at Humpty…just the sight of the man making his chest ache so painfully. Even the sound of the French wasn’t enough to shake him.
Ⱶ That face... Humpty met his eyes with his own sadness. His heart broke seeing the man so distraught. A hand reached out to gently brush his hair from his face. “Shouldn’t that be a happy thing?” He wasn’t very convincing sounding himself. Not sure how he felt.
A New Companion: Modern AU
Ⱶ Sitting alone, Humpty had thought he’d try a new place that near his home. Charles was busy working, so it was either stay home with the cats or try and occupy his time. What better way than look for new places for them to go? Well... that was his excuse at least. Really he just wanted to get out of the house...
Ⱶ Spoon softly clinked against the ceramic of his cup, idly stiring his tea over and over. Mind totally wandering. He probably looked a bit sad and lonely, just sitting there by himself, daydreaming. Maybe he was... he always hated when he was alone.

Ⱶ Humpty rolled over on the floor to look at Charles. His upside down Charles.... or was he upside down. He didn’t know and the fact that he didn’t know made him start to giggle incessantly. Not just the fact that the other had self-proclaimed as a snack item.
Ⱶ “Pizza!” The equally intoxicated Humpty chimed, reaching grabby fists towards his boyfriend. “Lemme eatchu!”
