@waywardsignns asked: Where's my todd and ella thread 😡🔪
Okay, time to come up with an excuse. Though that was a hard thing to do when your ribs were bruised and you felt like the only thing holding you together was your suit.
He raced through the downtown, slipping and falling at almost every second jump. He slammed into walls and crashed into trash bins. He barely kept himself together. He blanked and instead of going to Daeton’s he went to the girl’s who was quickly starting to become very important to him. He told himself it was because her apartment was closer than Daeton’s shop but he knew better than that. If his body would slow down and let him think, he’d realize it was farther. He was acting on trust –– going where he felt he’d be safe.
It was getting close to midnight, and in a last ditch effort he leapt to her window. He crashes against it, holding on by the grace of god before he hauls himself up onto the small window box. He perches as best he can, but it’s weak and can barely get himself to perch long enough. Hand presses against the window, his hard breathing putting fog all over the glass as he peers inside trying to spot Ella.
When he does he gently knocks his head (the only part of him that didn’t hurt) on the glass. He’d met her only twice as the fox, and only a handful more times as Todd. But he knew his secret was about to be shattered –– much like he felt like his body was.
