edelgard is her given name, & she keeps it despite the tradition of abandoning your village name once you leave. however, she does disregard her last name, & takes on the last name hraesvelgr, naming herself after the dragon. she’s not a warrior of light, rather, a person who works alongside hilda in ishgard. she does have the echo, so she becomes close with ysayle as well, and may accompany the wol along the quests of heavensward.
