5 years of hard work, failure, hope, feelings of happiness — a roller coaster ride of emotions and every single second was worth it. Even as a small boy, Canada was my second home. My place where I can switch off and get away from the urban jungle in Washington D.C.. For over eight years I have been looking for a property that corresponds to my ideas of a place of peace. Five years ago I finally found the right property. I had to face a year of paperwork before I could finally call this piece of earth mine. To be able to rightly say that this house exceeds my dreams doesn't even begin to describe it. I would like to thank all the companies and especially my architect who made this place what it is. You brought this house to life and gave it that special touch. You made my dreams come true and gave me a home. In addition to my interior designer, I especially thank you, Kate ( @xcrimescenedonotcrossx ). You have filled this house with life and demonstrated your feminine decorative skills. This is our place. Mine is also yours. I hope that in a few years we will live here with our future children and start a new chapter. Until then, this remains our refuge. And I thank you too, Dawn. You fill this house with your hearty laughter, with your urge to change everything and, above all, with your tiny steps that echo through the hallways. You will always have a home here, no matter how old you are.
