“So,” Leon said, “You know that Alm guy.”

Leon didn’t know him. All he knew was that when they’d visited the castle, Celica had spoken to him, and when she came back she was upset. And Leon cared about Celica, because she was kind and had helped Valbar. It was understandable that he’d want to know what was going on.

Well, all of that and a healthy amount of curiosity.

He leaned more heavily on the wooden fence separating their camp from the nearby field. “What’s he like? He must have something going for him...”

"Hey. Let me see your sword.” Leon’s hand was already out, palm up, waiting for Kamui to pass the weapon over. It wasn’t as though they had somewhere to be yet; this ragtag army of Celica’s wouldn’t be moving until everyone had gotten up and ready, and Leon kept enough of a soldier’s schedule still to be an early riser. And Kamui, well... Leon wasn’t about to guess at his mental state, but he was at least awake enough to give Leon a response.

“...Please,” Leon added, begrudgingly tacking the word onto the end of his sentence. “My armor’s gotten too worn lately, it’s about as reflective as a used spoon. And I’m not about to walk around with bedhead if I can help it.”
