3.1 Heartcatch Precure! Ep 19 - 21
This has become so sporadic, it seems ironic that the half way review is suppose to be kicking in soon... I shall try to get back into the habit of doing this again.
EP 19
It's still early days and Tsubomi has already come a long way, she's so much more confident around Erika, she's not hesitant to be direct with her anymore, she even jumps at the chance to take photo's for the family, despite knowing the dad is a professional.
Why are they surprised by Aki's confession? Did she not admit it last night when she was looking through the photo's? Or was that suppose to be a thought to herself because it really didn't come across that way?
XD Realism, the pair have no dating experience, what would either know about the situation.
And considering their fairies, that do plenty of other odd things, is being able to talk to a dog really so strange?
Background character history drop, you don't see that everyday, especially for parents.
Wait... did that lot just take the bus o.O?
The fact they only go to look for Aki is so they can separate Tsubomi and Erika from everyone else, just to bump into the monster of the week... It's actually so subtly placed in there, you can't be annoyed at it. It's a rare occasion where the reasoning flows and works!
Sweet potato flower...does that really count and why is it so pretty?
He is an annoying one and so contradictory to what the villain group are actually trying to achieve... why is he with them?
And the dads technically save the day with the old photograph from the start of the ep... at least it's full circle and helps the lesson be learnt.
That's not true is it, you just spent... one would assume two, to give Blossom and Marine a speed boost; so which is it? You need them for the tree or is it ok to use them, which inclines that they aren't as major as you first let on?
EP 20
All the foreshadowing and we're not even five minutes in.
And just like, Tsubomi is back to her anxious, doubting self. (While for a fashion centric show, on top of a model photo shoot, who told Tsubomi that outfit looked any good on her?)

And I've just noticed that Sabark has purple roses in his quarters. On a first watch it wouldn't mean much but if you know, that's quite the nod.
Crumbs, you don't see bystander damage like that everyday either in a Precure show, that's some pretty serious damage to some one for a kids show, that guys going to have a hospital bill.
After dealing with Mystique and Answer... Blossom and Marine's transformation feels so short in comparison and I am grateful to not be waiting five minutes for the Cures to be done.
Wasn't it just handy that they were around to get the history beforehand to use for this very situation.
Kumojacky and Cobraja show up with the assist and Sarasina wasn't annoyed because they tag teamed the Precure and almost Ko'd them but the new fairy shows up and spoils their plans, while also proving their theory right that it would seek out the other Precure/Fairies. (An actual tactical unit of villains who actually work together for a common goal over against each other or their own agenda...you just proved it isn't hard Precure!)
You really don't see this enough, actual results from collecting the plot McGuffin aside for the finale. You'd think collecting x,y,z would have results of some sort through out the show. (Splash Star used this well also)
A third Precure has been born feels like the wrong conclusion, a third fairy means the potential of a third Precure. Otherwise it suggests they are already running around and have just some how missed them this whole time.

I don't actually remember if they've delved into why Coupe is so cool and revered yet?
Oh dear... I'm not sure how that thing is even walking if all three are parks at the top???
XD "It's perfectly acceptable for a Precure to fight with a soccer ball" Cure Rouge already exists. (wonder if it'd still be ok for a Precure to fight with a shot put or a javelin, maybe even the discus?)
So the school has a trespasser...may be dangerous and you have the teachers go around solo and not in pairs at least? Not to mention that she just told them to sit there, not read a chapter of a book or something while she was gone...that's practically a free period right there.
If that face came out of no where on you, you'd likely scream to, Cobraja is looking rather unhinged in that shot.
How in the world did they know though? This appearance brings up so many questions... they didn't even have the fairies with them to give them a heads up and what excuse did they give to leave the classroom or how did they know where the crystal was? Just pure coincidence or luck?
This ep would have aired originally at the start of July, why does it feel like a Halloween ep?
What on earth? Did she go all but five paces from the actual classroom?

External awkwardness! That's surprisingly insensitive but you can't say they don't know her story because Erika and Tsubomi both had a dream about it...
The joys of actually giving it time to ironically bloom. No instant third partner, it's a hurdle that still needs overcoming and dynamics get to be explored. It makes you wonder why they rush it in so many of the later series, do they genuinely think people can't be bothered to wait and deal with a build up to a reveal? Would be uninterested in seeing how two of three members are together before adding another into the mix and build it up again into a solid team?
It wasn't a bad set of episodes, they were all quite enjoyable really with a lot going on in them, so many building blocks that could easily be missed on a first watch.
