3.1 Heartcatch Precure! Ep 13 - 15

(So work was mental last week and as awkward as it seems, if it stays like this, ep reviews will be when ever I can fit them and not crashing after a long day. Any who, back to our regularly scheduled Precure program.)

So Yuri reappeared last week and this time with a minor interaction with Erika and Tsubomi. Plus we meet characters we met in earlier eps again, which really help solidifies the world building and how everyone and everything comes together, over just being one offs for monster of the week.

EP 13

It's another questionable family tree line.

It's not even five minutes in and the poor girl is already in desperate need of some therapy but due to the topic at hand, she has no one to turn to about it. That's rough.

Now how does a Seed of a Precure differ from a normal heart seed because they look exactly the same.

Well darn, she got there fast! And how needs Precure, Yuri just kicking butt as a Yuri.

That was one extremely one sided mini bout but their hair returned to normal this time for some reason?

It doesn't actually tell or show you how Yuri/Moonlight survived that blast considering it showed you the aftermath and that cliff was blasted clean off.

If you ignore the actual reveal, which was really super casual considering the build up; crumbs was this a heavy episode and they didn't shy away from it at all but to top it all, you really wouldn't have seen it coming with the opening scene with Erika and her sister.

EP 14

And it's here! Quite possibly the most infamous Precure episode that I know of. Not that I've really gone out and had a look around but this is the only Precure ep I've seen specifically get referenced in a wider general anime sense.

It is quite a Mum thing to say but it must be rough when once has to mature and bare that kind of weight so early.

Boom, the cracks are showing. Yes, her effort is commendable but you can't expect her to do this all by herself? Is there no extended family?

Seems kind of ironic when you consider they are trying to turn the world into a barren wasteland.

Don't explain how the frick she managed to do that though? This is a first for the series. Sasorina setting it free actually seems more like she's doing her a favour?

Just completely abandon the younger sister though, no scene telling her to hide or they'll get help, wait here, just poof, scene change. Now that they mention it though, the perfume bottles do actually look really small compared to when you see them in the transformation???

Full circle! See, this is why no magic barrier or slide dimension to fight makes the fights more impactful and meaningful.

It is so well executed for such a delicate matter and you can tell they treated it with respect when putting it together. The photo of their Mum become clearer once Shika confesses how she felt was a nice touch.

This whole conclusion just tugs at the heartstrings.

Until Chypre spoils it with the Heart Seed moment (Coffret hasn't spat one out in a while mind you?) but not sure if its ironic that the flower of the ep was a Carnation or just really well thought through? (Even the heart seed is a dark red to match the flower >.<)

And a sucker punch closing moment between the two sisters, just when you thought you were done with all the feels for this ep.

EP 15

Erika informed Tsubomi the Student Council president was a girl... do the rest of the school genuinely think its a boy? Do they not actually know?

What you though you were getting was an Itsuki episode, what it turns out being as a Fashion Club episode... Still, what's with the sour face on the one at the end?

Good advice may hurt but it will always help? Strange motto for a dojo?

You now have the same matching bow motif as us, it is only a matter of time. Despite being ill, the brother is very astute when it comes to his sister.

Not the dojo rival looking like some Rurouni Kenshin knock off o.O?

Kumojacky cut in during the middle of an attack! It really is odd that so many villains just wait and let the Precure do their own thing, which is usually bad news for them.

Also, Blossom holding on with two mere fingers while holding Marine! Now that's some grip strength!

First Yuri, now Itsuki, who needs Precure this season?

Speaking of, he does this eps... honestly who thought that was a good method -.-"" (Heart seed was purple when the flower was also purple, just seems rather coincedental)

Truth of my heart, the worries that plagued me, crikey did she make that sound dramatic.

The previews for the next ep, the way Tsubomi narrates them, makes them very unique.

Three eps with the same conclusion, with the weight on their shoulders, how is anyone in this cast actually standing? It's never anything minor or small with an easy fix, it's all life altering stuff. The audience needs the week in between just to recover.
