Three years ago I drew FO ration pack. It was time for a re-draw. Hux's lunch (as we all remeber Hux eats only things that are branded by First Order logo).
(it is my head canon that Hux’s mother is an Arkanisian making Hux half alien though he appears human and may not even be aware himself)

Appearance: Tadhg has long light brown hair with blonde streaks. He typically has his hair loosely slicked back and tied into a low bun. But he will take it down when he’s in his quarters as wearing his hair up all day can give him headaches. He has a scar on the left side of his chin and a beauty mark under the right corner of his bottom lip, as well as freckles. He has notable but not necessarily prominent side burns and a moderate amount of body hair on his arms, legs, chest, and naval. His body type is tall and stocky with visible muscles, though he doesn’t appear particularly buff. He also has golden eyes and his stripes, only visible in certain conditions, are dark blue. You’ll typically see him in his first order uniform, which, is the style of the lieutenants uniform, but the teal color of the colonels uniform (until he's promoted to colonel obvi). When not in uniform, he’s typically in the regulation tank top and boxers. He hardly ever wears civilian clothing, but he refuses to wear his uniform on shore leave, he must have a strict divide between work and pleasure. His preferred style of civilian clothing is very casual, layered browns and greens. Something he would have worn as an Arkanis civilian if he hadn’t went to the Academy. He has a mean case of resting bitch face. (Some of his art depicts him having a first order logo tattoo he NO LONGER has this, that was part of his old design)
Weapons: SE-44C blaster Pistol
Tadhg with their stripes visible (top is old art):
Get to Know: Tadhg is very monotone and reserved. He has a calming air as if nothing is surprising to him. He doesn't necessarily appear intimidating but he is a very serious no nonsense person when on duty. The only thing not regulation about them is their haircut, witch they keep long as a part of Arkanisian culture. He really just wants to do his job. He’s blunt, quick to the point, and is always focusing on doing his job to the fullest of his ability. He comes across as very emotionless or deadpan as he doesn’t feel that anything more is necessary for his job. he has a great mind for politics and strategy but he keeps most of this to himself because he doesn’t really feel the need to share opinions with people unless asked. They don't really have a strong desire to be promoted and are quite content with where they are. (Think Eli Vanto)
Outside of work they're a pretty normal guy. Quiet and reserved, still quite deadpan, but has better grasp on human emotion when tied to logical thinking, than say Hux. If Hux looks at things from a logical standpoint Tadhg knows how to make it appealing to the average civilian rather than just the military. He spends most of his off hours in his quarters, needing time to unwind. Typically reading in their bath, which was added to their quarters specifically to accommodate their aquatic needs. He does not directly tell anyone he is non-human but does not hide it either as he doesn't believe it should have any factor in how he's perceived. They are one of very few people that know Hux is half Arkanisian, and does not share this information or any information they know about Hux's past with anyone.
While he seems quite "Boring" he has a quite active love life and enjoys night life when out on shore leave. He's got a sort of casual, unintentional charisma that people are drawn too. Though he himself is quite oblivious too it. He is not extremely nationalistic when it comes to the First Order but believes a council of representatives is an inefficient and ineffective way to run the galaxy, so favors the structure of the First Order and believes it can be successful with the right leader, one of which is not married to the out dated ideals of the fallen empire, making him view ex imperial members of the FO as old fashioned and biased. He believes this perfect candidate for leadership to be Hux, whom he has a great deal of respect for. However he does notice how Hux seems a bit thrown off by Kylo's presence and is quite tired of their banter disrupting workflow. He does not feel that the force is a viable qualification for someone getting a job or place of power and has distain towards force users who are able to obtain positions without doing any work for it, believing that the majority of them are terrible leaders because they do not understand what it is like to be without power and can use the force as a crutch, which makes them weak and ignorant. Kylo's lack of military knowledge only emphasizes this point.
However Tadhg has a strict separation of work and personal life allowing them to actually get along with Kylo quite well off duty. Something other officers find odd if not frightening. Outside of Kylo their circles mainly include younger or middle aged officers who are typically their subordinates or equals like Lieutenant Mitaka, Thanison, Stynnix, Opan, Unamo, ect. They are cordial with Hux but the two tend to stay at arms length. They don't really engage with older members of the order outside of casual sex.
Story Details: Tadhg's father, Fionn Dowd, was a native Arkanisian. He and his brother Jadran ran away from home as young teens to join the imperial academy. Fionn became obsessed with the empire, fighting in the navy for one year before returning to Arkanis due to permanent injury, entering a mutual yet loveless marriage with a local Arkanisian woman, Aoibhinn, and getting a job training cadets at the Arkanis academy. Tadhg's uncle died in the galactic civil war prior to his birth and Fionn had dropped contact with him many years before that. They never meet their uncle's wife or adopted cousin, Ven.
Tadhg was imedatealy placed in the imperial academy system the second he was born. They hardly knew their mother as Fionn did not want her around the military or Brendol Hux. Viewing their father as only their trainer Tadhg saw no need to form familial bonds with either of their parents. Fionn's training was ruthless but it was Tadhg's normal, he got used to the rigorous system which still guides much of his behavior as an adult.
Tadhg did grow up with Hux as a child. But he knew the boy to be violent and unstable so tended to avoid him. But on a few occasions, he had caught Hux having a mental breakdown or alone in the med wing so would just sit with him. Occasionally put his hand on his back when he cried. As adults neither of them speak of these instances.
Tadhg was 10 years old when the New Republic sieged Arkanis. Both him and his father were captured. He believed his mother was amongst the local casualties, but never knew for sure. His father was sentenced to life in prison after he refused to denounce the empire, and was charged for the cruel ways in which he trained his cadets and his actions during his one year in active duty. Tadhg was brought to a new Republic reintegration institution (like from Mando S3) and put in a group that was largely children and civilians. One of them notably being Maratelle Hux. He regularly felt belittled in the instruction and mistreated by both staff and other residents. He resented the therapist that he was forced to go to feeling punished for doing nothing wrong, being too young and brainwashed to really understand what was happening. he watched firsthand how a fledgling new republic was struggling to take care of the disenfranchised worlds in the galaxy, including his home world, and being In the institution only radicalized him further.
when he was 14 he was extracted from the institution along with several others, mainly children, by imperial sympathizers and brought to the unknown regions, where he continued his military training under the fledgling first order, reuniting with Hux, and getting more firsthand interaction with Brendol and his training tactics which only made him dislike the man more. He always disliked him, and likewise felt the same about his buddies like Pryde and Brooks. Even at a young age, he was always analyzing things from a logical and political standpoint. He viewed Brendol’s generation to be too old and to romanticize a failed government that would not help the first order grow.
eventually, he rose up in the ranks and became a Lieutenant Colonel. Ignoring his childhood and viewing him strictly as his commanding officer, he saw Hux as a good and strong leader, and believed him to be the best fit for leading the order. To Tadhg Hux becoming supreme leader was always his end goal. They assumed Hux had some great plan for eventual mutiny and would assist him when the time came.
Despite his promotion and new position in the high council, it was an idea he began to loose faith in after Kylo assumed the position of supreme leader, ran the order into the ground, and made a mockery of Hux, promoting Pryde above him. Questioning why Hux had not claimed the position in the wake of Snoke's death, believing he could have overpowered Kylo if he had wanted to especially with the assistance of the other officers whom were fiercely loyal to him. A sentiment that he was not alone in sharing.
Regardless of motivation or intended end goal, siding with republic even temporarily would be something he would have not expected or respected of Hux. However he was transferred off of the steadfast in wake of his promotion and was not there for what happened.
He went down with his ship in the final battle on Exegol, narrowly surviving and joined a growing group of survivors left stranded on the planet after the battle, making camp in the wreckage of their ships.
(I know I speell his name wrong in this ignore it)
So I’ve found photos of all of the Topps 2020 Star Wars Chrome Perspectives Resistance vs. First Order cards, and I’ll be sharing the First Order and Resistance character descriptions as I feel led. Happy to take requests, as well, if there are descriptions folks are especially interested in!
