— last breath

( ` her uniform was drenched with murky water, causing it to stick onto all the wrong places of her skin. uncomfortable was an understatement and there definitely wasn't a word that described the sensation or the entire situation unfolding before her eyes. regardless, at this point, she didn't exactly care if someone up there was fucking around with them or if this was a punishment — she just wanted to go back into her room and get some sleep. all this was definitely — )

"troublesome."

( ` there was only a certain amount of energy that she had within herself to fend off from the mutated fishes that were gliding in the water and there definitely wasn't a place to run when the entire vicinity was being flooded with water. ) "i really just want to get some sleep." ( ` the irritated tone of her voice was filled with so much venom that it was almost possible to drain it out of her words and kill the entire waterlife residing inside the school at the moment. ) "...?" ( ` she suddenly stops upon seeing a figure at the end of the empty hallway — everyone had attempted to find their way out, but he was still lurking around for some odd reason ) "hey. what the hell are you doing in here?"

— playing with mermaids

( ` if the creatures that were roaming inside the waters were more pleasant, yuji actually believed that this entire event wouldn't be as bad as the first one. but of course, the supposed fishes had legs growing out of them and were crawling around dry surfaces as if they had belong in those areas. the world, notable, was basically going insane where everything had flipped around so that the hunters had become the hunted. was this a punishment from god for taking what he offered without thanking him? or was this a yet another case where he was toying with his human subjects? the flood noah had to endure because of the vanity of humans lasted for forty days straight — there were no resting periods or a breather. it was straight punishment where he was confined into his ark with other creatures who experienced the same thing. this was, hence, another scenario of noah's ark. )

( ` she pushes through the water that was up to her thighs, kicking and muttering curses at each time she feels a sharp something brush against her exposed leg. ) "i swear to fucking god—" ( ` ah, the irony in her statements, but the utter annoyance that it portrayed was the only that really mattered. she makes another step, unintentionally stepping on one of the smaller ones of the herd and slipping — until she grabs whatever she sees. with her luck, it was someone's arm that she pulled with such need ) "hey—" ( ` she stops upon seeing who the familiar figure is and relaxes a little. familiarity was always a good thing in these situations ) "where's your girlfriend? it's new not seeing her attached to your hips." ( ` easily says with a small snort, the teasing in her voice completely evident. she suddenly pulls on his arm again, jerking him back so that he could avoid the now flying fish in his direction ) "great. they now fly."

— unity of oblivion

( ` frankly speaking, she was straight up exhausted from the chaotic surprise the school held for the student body. it wasn't necessary; she firmly believed that an unexpected uproar was needed from time to time, but something like this only rose more questions. it seemed, however, that she was the only one who was actually disturbed by the turn of the event — it was either that, or everyone was doing an amazing job putting up a facade. )

( ` she lets out a sigh of relief that everyone that she knew of is accounted for and saunters into the classroom with ease. ) "whoa." ( ` mutters out, raising an eyebrow when she sees that the classroom is empty with the exception of one other. if she was missing something, then at least she wasn't alone. she easily slides into her seat, her eyes gazing out the window for a couple moment before she averted her gaze back to her sole classmate in the classroom. ) "hey." ( `calls out to him, tilting her head so she could give him a more thorough look. she knows him and she should know his name, but she was drawing somewhat of a blank — ) "are you doing alright?" ( ` it seemed like a safe question to ask — at least in her mind. perhaps if he starts to talk, she'll actually remember his name. )

— for the lost people

( ` was this the rainbow after a storm? there were absolutely no traces of blood, the echoes of bones shattering, the horrendous sight of the red pooled school — they were being played with and no one besides a select few knew about it. she still remembered the excruciating pain shooting up her spine before the pitch black overtook her and the feeling of complete helplessness that she for sure shared with the rest of the student body. yet, no one, absolutely no one, recalled that now minor detail part about their day. )

( ` her steps quicken when she reach the familiar hallway, desperately hoping to see a familiar face on her way so she could attempt to even ask what was really going on. myungjae, ilhoon — someone, she had to find them. she suddenly slows down upon seeing a familiar figure walking down the hallway and like her usual reckless self, she doesn't think. her legs are already taking her to where he is and her arms throw themselves in front of her before enveloping around the younger friend in relief — ) "are you okay? where were you? i couldn't find you, ilhoon, i thought--"  ( ` she's out of breath and her heartbeat quickens to match the short-winded words that were rolling off of her tongue, but he's okay and that was enough of a relief to her. )

"i died and i thought you were all alone."

( ` she's getting strange looks from the people around them and honestly wishes they were the ones who have experienced what it feels like to have their spine snapped into two. her arms tighten around him and she pulls him closer. she's not sure if it was for her comfort or for his, but he's alive and she was content with that. )
