The letter ă.
The letter ă, which I first encountered through Răzvan - the name of a Romanian colleague, has the same “uhh” pronunciation as ъ in Bulgarian. Interestingly, the Malay language before 1972, uses the letter ă for many common words that now ends with -a, such as kenapă which is now kenapa (why), or adă which is now ada (have). It's pronunciation is emphasized through the replacement of -a with -e in Bahasa SMS (malay internet slang). For example, the word ada becomes ade, or more typically seen in the form of xde which is shortened from tak ada (don’t have). More on Wiki: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ă.
