It was finally over. Not in the way James had wanted, but it was over. Thomas was alive, and they sailed to find him imminently. They could finally leave this place and this war behind, though where that left her remained to be seen. For all that she loved both of them, she was still on the outside of what they had.

For the time she had know Jack, it seemed they had that in common. But that was a thread left alone. A common, unspoken ground.

"There is a door, a few feet shy of my house." She began, returning a kiss to his cheek easily; fingers gently curling into his forearm in a friendly motion before she withdrew. "Nothing there would have been touched by the fire. You're welcome to it."

Mostly books but if anyone would appreciate them, he was right here. Her smile was wide and fond. "I'll forward letters to Max, I'm sure she'll pass them to you occasionally~"
