Ash dislikes the taste of plums.  His grandma was big into the fruit and they always had them around the house, but he never took a liking to them.

Ash  probably wouldn’t admit it, but he dreams a fair amount about being back in high school. He brought it up to his roommates once and they told him that meant he peaked in high school and that was sad, so he keeps it to himself.
