robin had just finished putting up the poster on the board when she took a couple steps back and smiled. for a while she had been putting up posters for several other clubs and local events in the bar she worked at. this time had been different since she put up a poster for a club she was actually in for archery.

robin always felt at peace with her bow in her hands. so whenever she could teach kids or get practice herself, the joy was instant. today hadn't been any different as she'd been practicing in her backyard with her makeshift target board. with her string pulled back, she adjusted her grip before taking a moment to breathe in and out. once she felt relaxed she let the arrow loose and watched it just to the right of her target. robin couldn't but laugh, but wasn't too upset since it had been quite close to the line. "next time," she walked over to the board and gently pulled out the arrows. robin then took off her quiver before she began placing her arrows into it.

“it’s jess, right?” robin asked as she tossed her dish towel over her shoulder, letting it rest there for the time being. she’d been hoping the other would stop by soon. after the voicemail she had left them, thanks to her number from the earlier tab, she didn’t know for sure if they’d show. “i’m glad you showed up and that i had the right number. i figured you’d want this returned,” robin ducked below the counter. she grabbed the item before coming up and holding it out towards the other.

“shoot,” robin yelled as the wind swept up the little poster she had only half put up on the window. she tucked her supplies under her arm before trying to run after the run away paper. once another person appeared in its path a feeling of hope filled her mind. “can you try to catch that please?”

“man, i wish i wasn’t so full,” robin sighed as her eyes were glued to the little paper boat in her hands. she’d been given some free samples and had gladly eaten two of them, but now only one remained. it was a delicious treat, but she sighed once more before lowering the little boat to rest on her knee.

“i made these arrows myself, actually,” robin beamed with pride. “i like to give these away to the archery club i go to. it’s more for the little kids and teens for when they want to practice. they always seem to like the feathers i use,” she laughed. robin stopped herself from rambling too much, though she couldn’t help it sometimes. she was very proud of her work.
