"that's probably a nighthawk." huaisang said, pointing to a bird out in the grass nearby. "they're pretty common around here actually, but it's rare to see them out this early. they're typically active at twilight or later, maybe because they're not particularly pretty so they don't want people to see with them." he said, with a shrug and a light laugh. it certainly wasn't the type of bird he'd go for as a pet. he had always preferred them more colorful. "though what do i know, it could just be another pigeon. those are all over. boring, but good if you're looking for a bird to grab as a pet."

turning the corner, the sight of some teenager in a mask startled her enough, her hand resting over her heart as leia took a step backwards. "this maze is stressful enough without people wandering around in masks like that--" she muttered, letting out a calming breath as she tried to ease the speed of her heart.

“ah... powers?” an adventure sounded like the ideal alternate universe to her, but the stranger caught her off-guard with talking about her powers in the present. dong kyung struggles to answer the question herself at first. “being less of a workaholic, i hope.”
