The rain styled his hair to resemble something like an American 50′s greaser, beads of raindrops dripping off the thick single strand that dangles from his forehead. He has a shallow cut on his cheek, but a stabbing wound at his hip. His eyes squeeze shut as he holds pressure to his injury.

The night runs down Jun Young’s throat from a bottle of beer. Tough crowd on one end of the bar, excited patrons fighting over dollars on pool tables and on the other, coins in the dart machine. Old men sing songs they can no longer read, each character blending into another until it becomes a censored mess on the screen. Waitresses deserve bigger tips and men complain that they’re not getting ass.
He aches to leave on a night like this but orders another Stella anyway, with the hopes that the evening will improve. As a guy in a dad hat takes a seat at the bar beside him, Jun starts to think it does.
