it was another day in the studio where everyone was actually working on their upcoming album besides ryder. he always found some way to goof off or distract himself, but he was getting quite bored at this point. he was leaning back in his chair, tossing up his drum sticks and attempting to catch and juggle them when an unfamiliar and remarkably pretty figure made her way into the studio. he sat up immediately, dropping his drum sticks in the process. "woah-- and hello to you too," were the first words to slip out of his mouth like an absolute dork, only to eventually stand up and make her way over to her. "you might be in the studio down the hall or next to us-- unless you've just decided to come keep me company." / @angelsdvsts

Oh he makes her so -- so -- frustrated ! Lacey grips the ends of her sweater sleeves, trying not to let it show just how thoroughly Drayton gets under her skin. Of course he's said more outlandish things before -- that's what makes him so frustrating. But nothing is going to be solved by stamping her foot and rising to the bait; if anything, she can just picture his infuriatingly cool attitude that somehow makes her feel naïve.

She's not naïve.

as a muslim writer i probably get an anon calling me a terrorist at least once a week and i used to post them to show people how often it happened but then i got called an attention whore and every time i mention it on my dash i get vagued by people with something like "oh there she goes again!"

honestly i feel that so much … when i used to have an indie blog people would ask me why i wrote characters that weren’t muslim (which used to make me so upset but honestly people will find any reason to hate on you and there’s no point in putting so much energy into it) and yeah i think people see it once and flock towards it with support which is awesome but then it just keeps on happening and people are just ? i don’t know tired of putting in that energy so they just give up and then get annoyed that we still talk about it. the truth is that islamophobia is really rampant in the rpc and it doesn’t just STOP with a few “i’m so sorry” messages and there needs to be more of a conversation about.
