CLOSED / @malcwilliams LOCATION: Calliope parking lot
Lately, it’s not unheard of for Reina to dip out of Calliope before they close for the night. Her days feel like they’re getting longer, and harder to deal with without a glass of wine or five. Tonight the glasses she’d snuck into her office for some solace had been on the heavier side, and she probably shouldn’t be driving home, but it’s her own damn restaurant and it’s only about a five or ten minute drive anyway — so fuck it, right? As she makes her way out to the parking lot, admittedly not paying attention to where she’s going as she squints at her phone, it’s a wonder she doesn’t end up plowing Malcolm over when he suddenly appears before her. “Fucking Christ, you trying to make me have a stroke? You know it’s rude to sneak up on a lady,” she informs him, cocking an eyebrow at the man. “If you’re here to deliver bad news, I don’t want it. My day’s been shitty enough.” He could at least give her the chance to go back inside and down a shot or two of tequila before he says whatever he needs to, but Reina doubts that’s going to happen.

❛ Who am I? Just a big FAN, man. Mostly of your face, but, y’know, that’s irrelevant. ❜ He’ll leave out the whole ANGEL thing for now. He’d rather not deal with that reaction, thanks. Huge grin still ever-present, he raises his hands in surrender.
❛ Could you, uh, maybe stop pointin’ a gun at me? Killin’ the experience, just sayin’. ❜
i’m not SINKING, i’m just kicking it at sea level. i got my floaties on, i’m focusing on all the wonderful stuff with the force of obi wan kenobi bro, i’m BROKE, although i won’t be woebegone ‘cause even though my bank account is low or overdrawn, i’m DOWN to mow your lawn.

👪 how do you feel about Minverva's choice to spent a majority of her life at a school instead of going out and living her life?
"She’s living her life, isn’t she?,” Malcolm questioned, raising his eyebrows. “I mean, she’s never been happier than that she is now, working as a professor. You should’ve seen her during those Ministry days --- overworked, annoyed with what she did but still determined to do it right... didn’t fit her, if you ask me. She was damned good at it, sure, but she didn’t have any passion. And I mean, she started this career pretty young --- think she was about, what? Twenty one? --- but it’s been right from the moment she started. I just saw it, y’know? Rob was still at school when she started interning, and his letters shared this. We all knew that she belonged there, teaching those kids.
“And I mean, even though she’s so very devoted to those kids and that school, she still has her own life. She meets up with us regularly, never misses a birthday, and besides us, she has different things going on too. She writes articles, for example, and I know for a fact she still goes out flying from time to time. And if you’re talking about her not being married, that’s none of my business. Dad’s whining about it enough as it is, and it’s just not something I’ve got anything to say about. She’s happy, that’s all I care about, and she’s living her life the way she wants and that’s enough.”
