This might be a stupid question but how do you sharpen / add coloring to gifs on photopea? Everytime I try it says that the layer can't be edited also what settings do you use to color your gifs?
There is never such a thing as a dumb question! I hope that this helps you a bit with things! If It doesn't then feel free to submit another ask. HAPPY HALLOWEEN, ANON!
Go to the LAYERS PANNEL! Click the FIRST LAYER, HOLD DOWN SHIFT, SELECT THE LAST LAYER. All of your layers in the panel should be lit up like the gif shows you.
Go to the FILTER section above in the top bar, then scroll down to SHARPEN. A sidebar will appear as you hover. I like SMART SHARPEN. You can adjust your settings to your liking, then click OK. With everything selected, it should sharpen every frame.
I'm unsure about how to address the error message. However, if you wanted to show me off anon what you are doing, then I could try help more. My only suggestion of the moment would be to save the GIF, close the Photopea tab & then reopen it. Then reopen your gif & try again on coloring.
Every gif is different. Some things I find need fewer or more layers & adjustments, so my exact settings are always changing when it comes to coloring. However, I will be sure to provide you with some tips & suggestions below.
My first layer is ALWAYS a curves layer. I find it does a lot of color correction for me. Anything that I mention, suggestion wise is open for tutorials!
To fix green / yellow / red / blue tints. I suggest using channel mixer & color balance next if the curves didn't take it out. The gif above really didn't need it, but I went ahead & did it anyway to show you.
I wanted to add reds & blues, so I moved the sliders to the RIGHT. To remove blues & reds, I'd move the sliders to the LEFT. The words above each slider tell you what you are adding more of & taking away. So in this, I took away some CYANS when I added REDS. I took away some YELLOWS when I added BLUES. I honestly recommend going light at first & adjusting based on your needs.
To change the colors for the gif, I recommend doing HUE/SATURATION along with SELECTIVE COLOR. I went to HUE/SATURATION here & went down to blue. Adjusted the hue slider until I got something that I liked.
Can I please get a tutorial on how to make medium size gifs on photopea?
PHOTOPEA TUTORIAL IS LOADING. . . . This is how to gif using the VIDEO UPLOADING feature. As always, LIKE / REBLOG / COMMENT to let me know that this helped! If you have any questions or requests, please submit them!
I went with a generalized gif tutorial that covers some of the basics. I recommend short videos with a good internet connection for this.
open your video file
set your frames per second, which is the FPS. Mine was at ten. I just keep it at whatever photopea makes it be as a recommendation.
Go to your sidebar with all the layers. You are gonna want to click the first layer that you don't want, which for me was 33. Hold down Shift (I'm on a Windows computer), then click the last layer you don't want. For me, that was 100. Then you will go to the little trash can & click it.
Color as you typically would would. Use coloring psds. Make the image all pretty like you like!
Go to the cropping feature! Go to fixed size then you can enter whatever size gif you want to make. ( Below this tutorial is a link to some tumblr sizes for gifs! )
Select all of the frames like you are deleting them ( You aren't ). Go to FILTER > SHARPEN > SMART SHARPEN & then play around with the settings. When done hit ok. You just sharpened all of the layers.
FILE > EXPORT AS > GIF then hit the save button. It will download to your computer
