HYPE OVERLOAD: Duffers say Sorcerer (the Miwi episode) is "as big as any finale we've ever done"
Ross Duffer posted it on Instagram:
"Logistically insane..." Hmm, I'm guessing it isn't as long as s4e9 in sheer length, but that it has some big action set pieces involving monsters and the military.
Maybe including this scene we've seen with Mike, Joyce, and Will?
Also, it's the Miwi episode with a flashback to a young Will, Mike, and Jonathan. Does the potential for Byler come front and center for the General Audience at the Volume 1 finale, as I've been predicting?
Think about the other times they've done original flashback footage in this show: it's because they involve KEY characters remembering KEY things that apply to what they're going through NOW: HOPPER remembering his daughter Sara when resuscitating Will, BILLY remembering his lost innocence when choosing to sacrifice himself, EL remembering Hawkins Lab and getting her powers back, etc.
There's some IMPORTANT REASON we're having a flashback to a young Will, Mike, and Jonathan:
AND the ep is titled SORCERER?? Does Will gain powers?
Sorcerer is the CLIFFHANGER for Volume 1.
And to think that the Vol. 1 cliffhanger will pale next to the Vol. 2 cliffhanger, which will pale next to the Finale which David Harbour says sticks the landing and had the entire cast (especially Noah) bawling?
Is it possible to get any more hyped for Season 5!?
What do YOU guys think happens in this episode? It'll be fun speculating!
