he statement catches him off guard. haruka’s eyebrows furrowing in place as he continues to sketch the other. he adjusts in his wheelchair, glancing back up from the small grove that they had decided to rest in. after everything that happened, he couldn’t blame kano for thinking as such.
“ a bad person ? “ he quietly mumbles it to the open air, finger tapping on his lip.
“ no, no i don’t think so. “ it was simple, easy to slip past and say as he goes back to sketching, deciding to explain himself further.
“ you only didn’t say anything because of the threat, right ? you were watching out for everyone. we don’t know what would have happened if you did say anything. it could have ended up worse. “
a line, gently curving to form the other’s cheek in the drawing.
“ but everything is fine now, right ? we no longer have to worry about it. “ he glances up, dark eyes meeting the other’s before he beams.
He.. He honestly wasn’t expecting an answer. He was just... saying whatever came to mind. Kano was sitting cross-legged across from Haruka on the grass of this convenient clearing they found. This whole being honest thing was going to be... difficult to say the least.

Gold eyes glanced up at the other as he spoke, his voice small and soft and just barely missed. He... made a fair point, but Kano still couldn’t help but feel... terrible about it all. And he couldn’t help but blink in awe as Haruka smiled at him.
“Y-Yeah... haha.. I guess you’re right...” A small smile tugged at the corner of his lips. Nothing to worry about anymore. How relieved it felt to finally think that.
“How’s that drawing coming along anyway? It’s been a bit hasn’t it?” He asked, deciding to lighten the mood just a bit.
