Hi! I’m Tay and this is my babe Pia. I’m open for all kinds of plots, so hit me up. Pia’s been in Mapleview for 13 years, so she’d know people for sure.
『 eva longoria. forty three. cisfemale. she/her. 』 oh heavens, is that PIA GARCIA PEREZ from SYCAMORE WAY i see roaming around mapleview? minnie may’s always calling them CLUMSY & HEADSTRONG. i happen to think they’re not that bad! they’re a pretty cool LAWYER and every time i’ve seen them, they’ve always been ENERGETIC & HARDWORKING. i hope i see them around again! 『 tay. 25+. gmt+10. she/her. 』
Pia Garcia Perez was born in San Antonio, Texas, the third youngest of four children. Her parents were hardworking and strong-willed, traits that they passed down to all their children, especially Pia.
Pia grew up with her two sisters doing beauty pageants and ballroom dancing. Her parents were very keen on Pia and her siblings doing extracurricular or after school activities.
Academically, Pia did exceptionally well at school. So it came as no surprise when she got a full scholarship to Stanford University. At first she thought she’d go into business but eventually she got a law degree instead.
It was during an internship that she met her future ex-husband. They got along wonderfully and were friends first before eventually falling in love. They married after only a year and a half of dating.
Eventually Pia and her husband decided to move back to Mapleview, her husband’s hometown. His mother was sick and her husband being an only child felt like it was his responsibility to look after his mother. Pia wholeheartedly supported him.
So Pia’s been in Mapleview for 13 years and it’s been quite an adjustment for her. She was used to big cities, not small towns.
Pia and her husband eventually had a daughter, Elena who is now 11.
Unfortunately her marriage started to deteriorate and by the time they decided to divorce, Pia had fallen pregnant with their second child, a son Mateo. Instead of going through with the divorce, they decided to stay together.
Not long after Mateo was born however, they realised it just wasn’t working and they couldn’t stay together just for the kids. The split was amicable and they rather successfully co-parent.
It’s been four years since the divorce and Pia is slowly trying to have a social life now. She got so wrapped up in her kids after the divorce that she’s lost touch with anything that was her kids or work.
If asked, Sharp does not like hugs. He does not like or find physical contact necessary. He will refuse a hug if asked outright, and will not seek out such physical comforts. If he were forced to hug someone else out of the blue, it would be stiff, awkward, and uncomfortable. He’d go through the motions, returning the gesture, but he’d be counting down the seconds until he could be freed.
But if he’s upset, a hug might be one of the best things someone could do for him.
If hugged by someone he trusts, Sharp will emotionally collapse. His face will crumple in an expression of the sorrow hiding behind his anger, and he will return the hug fiercely. His posture will curl in, leaning towards the person hugging, his hands will be either in claws or fists at their back. He’ll hug tight, bury his face, try to hide himself in the comfort being offered to him. If possible he’ll sink down to his knees, or if he’s truly, truly devastated, he’d collapse in their arms such that they’d either have to hold his weight or sink with him.
Usually slowly, like he’s already walked a long distance. Like he’s carrying the weight of his years on his shoulders and spinal struts. He ends up with leg injuries quite often, so a lot of times he’ll have anything from a slight to severe limp. Even so, something in his movement speaks of the soldier he once was, a sort of military way that he carries his weight, like he’s forcing his way through the air around him.
[[ aaaa thank you for so manyyy ❤o❤ i’m gonna split these up into separate posts rather than sticking them under a cut, since cuts tend not to work well on mobile. ]]
1. What kind of laugh does your muse have?
Sharp doesn’t really laugh aloud when he’s actually amused, buthe’ll “laugh” in other scenarios.
Occasionally, especially with Forte, Blues, Rock—folks he’scloser to and comfortable with—he’ll give a little low, breathy “heh.” Usuallythis is accompanying a morbid or self-deprecating joke that probably isn’tactually funny to anyone but him. And he knows it.
The other, and much worse, laugh is when shit is going sideways. If Sharp’s seriously upset / pissed off, his fury will reach a point that he’spractically manic. The noise in his vocalizer gets worse the louder he speaks,so in this situation what you’ll get is a loud, grating, distorted “HAH!” thathas no actual humor in it whatsoever.
If he’s actually amused, he’ll smirk, grin and cover his mouth,or facepalm, depending on the type and quality of the funny thing.
Sharp’s normal fears are mostly things that would be bad, damage to his frame and such. There are a few things that are more frightening than they are strictly damaging, so they might be considered phobias because they’re not so reasonable.
Sharp’s very afraid of rain and bodies of water. For the several years after he was rebuilt (start of blog canon), his chest access panel wasn’t waterproof. If any water were to get in, it would short circuit him and turn his pain sensors back on. Before Forte, he kept his pain sensors off all the time, and he had a long backlog of injuries that would cause him a lot of pain if registered all at once. His panel is waterproof now, and he’s much better about keeping up with his maintenance, but he’s still too scared to go out in the rain or be anywhere near water deep enough to submerge in.
He’s also irrationally afraid of the warning sirens of his own system failures. This is something that is reasonable to be afraid of, but he doesn’t fear the actual failure of his systems or his own death, it’s only the sound of the sirens. If any external siren sounded like the one in his processor, he’d be just as afraid and would most likely have a panic attack. (Maybe it’s not so much a phobia as it is a trigger, actually.)
