That statement, as cringe-worthy as It sounds It managed to flutter him deep under those layers. Yes, the commentary with that much flavor isn’t something he’s familiar with and It left him somewhat speechless, but If that is really what she truly believes, he has no intention of changing a thing. He merely nodded in response to her then followed by his palm that found itself on her head. He gave a gentle pat in that area before smiling faintly at her who clearly prefers her dark strands untouched.
“Be careful will you? as much as I’d love to-”
“I won’t be able to save you every single time”
A TERRIBLE HERO, THAT’S WHAT YOU ARE. MASTER.
His gesture of patting her head earned a small huff from the young woman, her hand reaching out to shoo away his. It wasn’t like she didn’t enjoy the small gesture that made her feel safe, feel like nobody in this world could hurt her while she’s in his care. This feeling of safety was the main reason why she had called him her angel, because in her eyes, he was. An angel, no, her guardian angel who somehow always ended up to be at the right place at the right time. But even so she couldn’t stand the feeling of being treated like a small child, the small pat on her head only confirming it.
“I don’t expect you to-” The younger shook her head slowly, giving him a warm and reassuring small after. “Really, the last thing I want from you is to help me out every single time, so if you really want me to be more careful from now on I will. I can’t promise that it will help though, if the universe wants me to get into trouble I will, I mean it’s not like I can fight it, can I? I just really hope you will be near me if that happens, like now... Say, do you have a radar or something that tells you when I'm in need of help-?”
