I started writing w them
reveal of the oc mentioned last night. her name is striga and she is a very young root who was only recently born from a parasitic ritual
at her age she is only concerned with growing more, and asks leila and creek to bring her food to help her grow. if they bring her the items she requests (like the pollip hearts quest but they're scattered all over the map) she will pay them back by making leila's weapon stronger
The Knights of Guinevere premiere just ended! In her interview, Dana Terrace didn’t mention any specific artistic inspirations. I’m crazy and anytime 8 see wires going haywire out of bodies and pulsating flesh 8 think of. Him.
There was a specific scene in particular that made me go like “is that?? Influenced??” but unfortunately 8 have forgotten which one. That was a really good pilot.
number 8 for those drabbles >:)
#8 is maremotos by supercombo!
Grief isn’t linear, Jaiden finds.
There are times she can’t do anything after losing Bobby. She wants to stay in bed, or sit on the platform in the tree, staring into the distance over the rose fields.
Other times, she feels… okay? She catches herself laughing at someone’s joke, and is almost consumed by guilt. Shouldn’t she be upset, still?
And then another day comes where nothing feels real, and all she wants to do is cry. Those are the bad days.
But she will wait for the storm to clear. She needs to keep watching the sunset, after all.
[send me a number 1-100 and i'll write a drabble based on that song from my spotify wrapped]
Rereading KKC (rather than relistening) for the first time in Ages, and Im genuinely sad because my old paperback copy is annotated to shit, with theorizing in the margins and everything. And i cant really do paper books anymore, so all that work is basically lost to me. Like. I do Not have the mental energy nor the encyclopedic knowledge I used to have. Im not gonna be able to annotate my PDFs like that. Ive probably forgotten a lot of what Id figured out.
Theres no real solution to this or anything, and at the end of the day it doesnt actually matter. But like. Still sad.
I'm Riding Shotgun, Autumn of 2022. Everything is Wrong.
My seventh grade gym teacher took us here for year-end ice cream. It was a highlight. I cracked a tooth on a peppermint piece. I like the chip. Her son was my teacher three years later. I learned how to be angry at the world while loving the world so much you have to grit your teeth against it to stay upright. I couldn't talk to his mom at his wedding. I can't bear to be forgotten. Or remembered. Or seen.
That's my old middle school. They updated the playground, but the cedars are still there. I thought they were going to burn me at the stake behind those cedars. I still have nightmares. It's a pretty spot, though, don't you think? In the nightmares it was a pretty place to die.
I was born in that hos-- I can't talk about the hospital.
I love these trees. Those are grapevines, draped over the limbs. We should stop and pick some. Maybe I'll learn to make wine.
Of course we won't stop. By now the grapes are rotting on the vine.
Maze: Have you met my mama yet?
Cain: I’m not afraid of her.
Maze: so that’s a no,
