Open Starter For All: Bruce Wayne ‘batman’
Extravagant galas were essentially a large part of life, well it was for anyone related to the Waynes. Being that he was the oldest member of the family, as of late Bruce had found himself organizing serval events through the year. It was rather unfortunate to have such extreme parties in the dark city, yet with the capture of The Joker, Bruce finally felt as though his charitable gala was going to go well. The man felt golden and like new. He had felt as though, he could finally start cleaning up the city rather than rebuilding after the joker releases his chaos. For the first time in a long time, Bruce had hope that his efforts would finally be shown and noticed by all. Perhaps, the city may take a turn into the light and there would be no need for Batman or the bat family.
Nonetheless, this hopeful golden age was something that the secret vigilante wanted to celebrate. So, being the billionaire he is, the man changed his normal formal gala to a themed party. Yet, not wanting to disappoint his rich ‘friends’ with the elegant party, the man chose the roaring twenties theme. The twenties were such an extreme time in history. Nearly everything was illegal and the people were rebelling, they wanted change and looking back the twenties showed so many different possibilities. Luckily, Bruce was able to convince everyone to think of the twenties as the image within the Great Gatsby.
Although he had invited several of justice league, Bruce was not sure who would come and join the event. Of course, journalists would be there to document what everyone was wearing and how much was donated, but besides that Bruce truly wasn't sure what to expected. Surely, many people called in their reservations for the event, yet even his sons haven’t even reserved for the gala. Yet, the man knew that the relationships that he had with his children were very complicated and rather unusual. So at the end of the day, he would just have to wait and see which of his children and associates would make their grand appearances.
When the night finally came, the Gotham Museum of Art, completely altered the calm from a bright calm tones of cream and coffee colors, to golds and bright colors alluring to the luxurious life of the upperclass. Lively jazz music filled the room full of art, several tables fitted around a dance floor, and lead up to the podium. Each table had flowering plants and golden decor. It truly reflected Fitzgerald’s novel, and yet the extravagant decorations and changes within the museum represented Gotham. The golden pieces managed to accompany some of the black decorations and table clothes beautifully.
As people started pooling into the one night gala, Bruce held on to his cold glass of whiskey, and watched as the well dress party goers entered in fairly quickly. As he took a small drink of the burning alcohol, the man’s attention swiftly peaked as he noticed a particular guest waltz into the room. With glass in hand, the billionaire approached the guest with a half smile on his face. “I wasn’t sure you would come,” he stated rather huskily before bringing the glass back to his lips.
