Oh no sir knight… it seems as if my clothes have torn… avert your eyes, for a glimpse of my skin is only for my betrothed!!!
Sir knight?
You’re not averting your gaze. You seem to be staring quite more intensely. Oh dear.

Trophy brush tests :3
Anne falling into comphet and she has a boyfriend post-canon, even bringing him to the places she used to frequent.
Even down by the old park, around St. James and the memories there. Walking down its halls with him, clinging dutifully to his arm. It does unsettle her though somehow, so her grip is a bit lax, not quite committed.
He doesn't notice, stating that he finds it quite sweet of her to show him around for once. The discussion drags on as they take their time, the afternoon sun slowly trickling downward. Eventually it arrives at him sharing his own past. How he would 'have been a bad friend' to her if they met then and how his parents might have 'torn them apart' if ever they found out the two were together. Fondly caressing her face as he shifts the topic to how much better it is that they met only a few years ago. The reaction seems a bit troubling. It prompts him to ask if she's alright, her face frozen in neutrality.
A "Yeah, no, it's nothing." is all he gets. He shrugs, choosing not to press on if she had issue with it. Choosing instead to invite her to dance.
"Really?!?!? Out in these halls, babe?" She says but doesn't quite mean the last word.
"Yes really, might be nice y'know?" He wryly smiles, a hand outstretched as he takes her into a spin. The lights flashing by as the memories flashed through her head. This is supposed to be a happy moment, and yet...
The feeling isn't the same as before, not the same feeling she had with them. This time it's cold, like the ice cubes in her drink Sasha might have given as an apology for 'missing your birthday' two years back. It was nice. Not the free drink as so much as Sasha's reaction, the way she sheepishly explained herself but insisted that 'it was the least I could do for you.' Watching her face flush like a ripe tomato, feeling her pull her close into a hug. And then the l-bombs as she cried, Anne was always fond of the notion of her friends hiding more than they let on behind their amicability. A fondness that still lingers.
Cold like the shoulder Marcy gave when she accidentally snapped at her, her messages left on seen about five years ago. And how they made up over text, then made up by strolling down to the coffee shop. Not after ten whole minutes of awkward mumbling at least, then they made out but Marcy kept insisting that 'this doesn't have to be anything if you don't want it to be', to which Anne never quite gave a reply to.
Cold, like her heart sinking as she found out the two people who she would want nothing more than to protect and serve were dating one another. Not even half a year had passed since, and they showed up at her door hand-in-hand. It felt like she had been tossed aside. Still, it was nice because at least they could look after each other even if they didn't need her anymore. Faking a smile as she invited them in to have dinner with her family.
Cold like the white forecast predictions in a few weeks, the air had already taken the initiative to be chilly. Or perhaps because it was night, she didn't know. No matter. She was too lost in her own worries by now to even acknowledge the fact that the dance was over.
But, she'll face the snow soon enough. It's no good for visitors nor flights back to California. Probably the first time ever she hoped her boyfriend wouldn't come over for the holidays.
