Amidst all the controversy about vaccination identifiers, I purchased myself some rubber bracelets yesterday that say "I'm Covid Vaccinated!" I won't be wearing them until I am fully vaccinated which gives me time to further consider the possible ramifications.
The thing that prompted me is that, as a retail worker, I would like to know if someone I'm dealing with is vaccinated. Up until the end of the month, I am still partially vulnerable (even after that, none of this is 100%). It would be nice to know that my customers are protecting me. So, to that end, I would like them to know I am protecting them. And, I want workers in other places I go to know I'm doing my part to keep them safe, too.
Obviously, anyone with a couple dollars can buy the bands. But, I doubt people who are extra anti-vaccine would want folks thinking they took it.
I just wonder if I'm going to get crap for it and how much of that crap I am willing to deal with. We'll see, I suppose.
