Autumn was not buying this in the slightest but she wasn't going to argue with him since he had come here and the last thing she wanted to do was make him leave because she was being the mama bear. What she was though was concerned but he couldn't be too hurt if he was still cracking jokes. She took care of people, that's just who Autumn was and it was, unfortunately, something that she couldn't break free from. "Wait, what?" She stopped just short of him, frowning. "Where are you going to go? You say this, just as I was about to text you tomorrow and see if you wanted to go with me to this convention that's happening and I had an extra ticket. Just my luck right?"

Carrie kept busy so that she didn't have time to think about how lonely she was these days. Everyone around her was getting married, having children and starting a new chapter in their lives and she was still in a comfortable place because maybe she wasn't to put herself out there in fear of rejection because of what lay under the beautiful smile and clothes. "Of course I take time for myself. I go to this cafe at least once a week and just sit in the back and read or nap, they let me nap can you believe it? And then I go shopping." She just left out the little fact that it was mostly to buy activities for the children to play but still, it counted right? "It's sweet that you care though, Miles, you're about the only one that understands and doesn't push me. I appreciate that, I hope you know it."
