Hey y'all, I imagine this isn't too surprising (just because I had talked about it) but I am going to go ahead and go on hiatus for the next two and a half weeks or so for my vacation. I absolutely will be coming back after I'm home, but I obviously won't be getting to any writing until I get back from the trip.
Apologies to those of y'all waiting on things, but I will get to them when I return home!
New verse time! Satan Warrior Cats AU, woo! I’m just going to copy everything I sent to Lex and include it here because that would be easier than typing it all out again.
Had a thought Satan would be similar(ish) to Tigerstar from the original arc. But he’s a deputy in his current clan named BrackenClan named Burningclaw and is a larger tom with a darker orange/red pelt combined with black fur shading in a lot of the pelt overall. He also has yellow eyes!
So he kind of looks like ash/smoke coming off a fire. His pelt is also thicker so that only makes him look bigger overall, adding to his more intimidating factor.
Basically BrackenClan could be a clan that usually tries to hunt or is in an area of pine forests, thorny areas, and denser fern patches along the ground. It’s a little darker due to all the trees, but the clan is known for being good at hiding and attacking when least expected.
As well as that, they’re more known for their tough warriors and a more battle-like attitude to at least a degree. Their leader, Briarstar, is a large tabby-brown tom with a scarred muzzle and green eyes. Briarstar is not opposed to battle, and he was one of the clan’s better warriors in his youth, but he’s gotten better at negotiating and trying to avoid fighting if he can.
Burningclaw respects Briarstar and they do get along well for the most part, but Burningclaw still holds the idea that showing strength can be good to ensure they do well in negotiations if it comes down to it.
Overall, Burningclaw is a little hot headed and very much enjoys fighting (as is evident by a scar across his own muzzle, a torn ear, and a scar along part of his right flank) but he’s trying to not let any anger control him and his decisions.
He does respect the other clans, but he views BrackenClan as a clan that is stronger and better at fighting than the other clans. And he is always happy to kind of prove that.
I was talking to @lexvesperis about our thread for Lex and Caden and I found out that, apparently, hellborns don’t actually have souls that can be corrupted or anything. Which means that my idea for Caden signing a soul binding contract to Calderon may not entirely be accurate to “canon”. With that in mind… I have decided that my overall headcanons and lore for Caden will not change. The following image sums up my thoughts.
Had a slightly interesting thought while I’m at the gym. I know that there was Sir Pentious in the show who was redeemed and everything (or at least got to Heaven after being in Hell) and that got me thinking… would Charlie Barkin also have been someone who maybe could fit that role to a degree?
My main thought being that, ya know, at least from the terms of the first movie he was allowed to go to Heaven after saving Anne-Marie’s life. And with him being a character on my roster (specifically this one in this case) that makes me think that maybe Charlie could be redeemed as well theoretically.
I mean… yes, he’s a hellhound, so I’m not entirely sure how feasible it would actually be. But I think it would be an interesting plot idea to explore with him! Because like the second movie (as much as I don’t like it) I imagine my Charlie would also not be too thrilled about being in Heaven, despite having “earned it” to say. He’d probably just want to be thrown back into Hell honestly.
I do love all the background characters in Helluva Boss and Hazbin Hotel. I know I’ve added two on this blog (which I’ve never fleshed out and need to do eventually), but I just know that that all the brain cells I have for this blog mainly got transferred to Caden and Satan.
But I would like to flesh out the background characters I have eventually.
